Good list! I have the Robe, but I understand they ironed out some of the wow problem that some cues have when they worked on it for the Blu-ray release, so I might re-buy, & I don't think there's any tapes for Roman Empire (but we thought that about 55 Days).

La La Land already confirmed that they were doing Fall of the Roman Empire next year. Unfortunately, they also confirmed that all their release will contain the LP program with some of the pieces from the "More Music from" album as the original masters are sadly missing.

I would be very much interested in a reissue of The Robe as I very much love it, but have missed out on all known CD releases (the cheapest I could find for the Varese CD is about $215).

After A Certain Smile failed, didn't MV say that he wouldn't do another Alfred Newman title? Unless maybe The Robe was one he already committed to. I hope that's the case, because I really desperately want that score!

Me too - but not for over $250 to some scum.

He was bemoaning slow sales (after just two or three days) of A Certain Smile and said he was signed up to six Golden Age titles (with Sony I think), without saying at the time who the composers were. We know that Fall of the Roman Empire (LP) is one of them, though I bet he wishes it wasn't, now that the superb re-recording has stolen that thunder. Another was 55 Days at Peking. So unless I've forgotten any, that's at least three more to come...

Well we know that one of the boxsets will be Friday 13th and I'm guessing that another one will be Volume 2 of X-Files. Very interested in what the others will be.

Hopefully La-La Land will also be continuing their Bear McCreary releases with a nice 3-disc set of Caprica

Since La-La Land have such a good relationship with Fox, perhaps they could release some music from Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel?

Interesting that there's no Barry on that list. Barry material is really starting to dry up unfortunately.

I'm not surprise. I suppose 2 variants - MV especially hasn't mentioned Barry 'cause he want to make big surprise for us (I hope for it!).
But most possibly that they don't want do Barry titles - FANTASTIC Golden Child still in stock, and in spite of the fact that MV think that GC is one of the best LLL release! But everyone want to eat, so he made titles which can be sold quickly. I hope that I'm wrong but...

If you discount the Bonds (which the ltd labels probably can't get their hands on), the only titles that might interest LLL would be expanded versions of Howard the Duck and Indecent Proposal.

This would be outstanding. The existing available score music is wonderful early Christophe Beck and Robert J. Kral and sincerely has me salivating for more more more more more...

Now that would be, that would be ... hell I don't know, but I'd sell my soul to a Vampire in need just for a La-La-Land Angel Release (complete with the true Title music).
Not to mention I'd jump straight into the Hellmouth, if that would open the Portal for a La-La-Land Buffy Release. wink

However I've two more things to say:

  • May I be so bold and suggest Nick Bicât's Christmas Carol (1984) - www.nickbicat.com/music/index/?id=20 - for La-La-Land's next Christmas batch? An awesome score, that's still lacking the La-La-Land treatment.

  • I was secretly hoping to see Frank Klepacki amongst the next year's composer list.
After all a release of his game music would be THE C&C-Release of the year, wouldn't it? wink
(Sorry for the pun - couldn't resist!)
