One of the most interesting aspects of this CD which hasn't really been discussed yet is that beyond the two wonderful scores for SABRINA and WE'RE NO ANGELS, Bruce has been able to go back as early as 1939 (DISPUTED PASSAGE) and 1940 (REMEMBER THE NIGHT) and pull a few surviving tracks from those and later films from the Paramount vaults. This should open up all kinds of speculation as to what other partial or full scores might now be found in the 1930s-1940s Paramount library if someone searched and was interested in releasing them. Excellent point. Hopefully that end will be pursued and as much as possible can be transferred, cleaned and released or included as extras where not deserving of a full album like these Hollander tracks. The great audio on Strange Love of Martha Ivers still has me enthused about how great some stuff from that era can sound, even if not everything is a home run. Bruce seems like the guy to do it and it appears he'll continue, but he's really the only one right now.

You can bet we have more fun stuff coming and I will do this kind of thing as long as there's stuff to do. It's not only important, it's so MUSICAL and that kind of music is always worth saving.

Our hope is that CDs will ship by the last week of December or hopefully even sooner And one week later are there any hopeful news ? The real hope is the 21st, which we should be able to make.

This one and the Duke only have about 100 left. I knew it would be slower thanks to the deluge and I do mean deluge of great releases that everyone needed to put out at the same time Meanwhile, this, the Duke and Christmas Carol will all ship on Monday - just a crazy time of year for the printer and pressing plant. We do have one more release coming - I wonder what it is?

Bruce, one score or a number of scores on a single or double disc set ? Could Elmer Bernstein be involved in this release ? Posthumously, of course. One great score, complete. Elmer Bernstein would be a grand way to end 2013!
