By how much could you care less? 10%? 20%? I presume since you "could" care less as opposed to "couldn't" there is a quantifiable, identifiable figure by how much you are caring less about this.

Both are just different forms of not giving a crap. If I "could" care less, knowing I don't care about the songs, it means I could actually care a further amount lower than where I am at now, which is possible. If I "couldn't" care less ("could not"), would imply I my level of don't give a crap doesn't go lower for the songs, but that's not factually accurate, so I went with "could".

So you do give a crap, even though you say you don't? It's like telling someone "I don't believe you, but I trust what you're saying." or "It’s a great budget, but I have grave concerns we can’t sustain it"

Back on topic. You think the music heard in the arcade game itself being included is a practical hope?

From a huuuuge Safan fan, this is pretty awful news really.

There's so much still to see the light of day, but instead we get release #6 and #7 for these titles, and we all know it won't be the last time we see them either.

Ah, no.

Back on topic.

Ah, no. This is official commercial CD release #3 for Remo, with #1 having reversed channels and OOP, and #2 being OOP.

This is official commercial CD release #3 for TLS; with #1 being an old '80's short CD with mastering technology over twenty years old, and #2 being expanded by a little bit and OOP for a while now. And besides, we aren't talking about a re-issue, we're talking about the whole kit & kaboodle this time, which has not been released.

We've already had two or three previously unreleased Safan's in the last year or so period, with another in-the-works. There's room for both; it's not like if they didn't do these, they would have instead done two previously unreleased scores by the composer.

I'm not a "huuuuge" Safan fan, and even I can appreciate these.

According the Roger Feigelson on the Intrada message board the 24-track tapes they found of Remo Williams only inlcude the synth tracks. So unfortunately Remo Williams won't be revisited at this time.

Glad to hear it.

There's only so many times you can be told 'at last, the definitive release - previous issues fixed' in just a few years...

Awful film? That's harsh. When it comes to male centered protagonists, Alex was a pretty likable and down to Earth. He loved to escape his real life into the fantasy world of the arcade, but when he's literally put into that fantasy world, he's overwhelmed, confused and uncertain to a T. He's not treated as a character who is super special, talented and divine like Wesley Crusher.

Wesley was only treated liek that for one and-a-half episodes, and then he was gone, only later to appear in a stupid TNG movie (breifly).

I didn't realize that lack-of-Wesleyness was the criterion for a good movie. (I also never realized he was only annoying for an episode and a half!)

"The Last Starfighter," to me, is fairly harmless -- I don't know how anybody could be so upset with it to say it's "awful awful" -- but the fun of the beginning drains away when they get to space to face an ineffectual villain who, at the end, simply walks off, never to be seen again!

Nice score, though.

Totally agree. Entertaining movie mostly because of the male lead. Odd film though for sometimes it seemed almost like a Star Wars parody, while other times it felt like a lite Sci Fi romp with it's own personality. This is one film that would benefit from a remaster with up to date CGI.

If you want Safan's complete work on Starfighter, you're sadly also going to have to track down the original Southern Cross CD and the possibly even rarer now Lesser Known Favorites, for the Safan performed and produced songs.

The door left wide open, again, for another upgrade.

indeed, one of my favorites of the eighties ! No need for a remake.
