John Carpenter's The Fog (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) [Expanded Edition] - John Carpenter

Omitting the two dialogue tracks ("Prologue From The Fog" and the Radio Interview With Jamie Lee Curtis) from disc 1.

Not usually crazy about dialogue tracks, but that Prologue with John Houseman always is the very first track on my Halloween CD's every year. That kicks off disc 1 and Message From the Future from Prince Of Darkness always is the first track on disc 2 ! big grin

Oh yes, that monologue is a classic. Very glad to have it on disc.

Question @ Mr. LeaGolfer:

Are these the expanded editions included in the Varese Sweater/Box? Because if so, I'd love to hear your opinion about the extra Christopher Young tracks on the Nightmare II disc. I'm on the fence for the whole set, partly because of the absurd packaging as well as the - oft repeated here - shoddy quality control (which comes as something of a surprise for this habitual Varese patron and supporter). Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks. smile

Nightmare on Elm Street. Charles Bernstein
Nightmare on Elm Street 2. Christopher Young
Nightmare on Elm Street 3. Angelo Badalamenti

Listening to this in the light of day, because over thirty years later it never fails to give me the *SHIVERS!*.

Up next:

TWISTED NERVE - Bernard HERRMANN

Wonderful set. I almost feel guilty for having paid such a paltry sum for it. Think I'll give the buddy who helped procure it an extra 10 quid.

Yes AC they are the expanded editions & nightmare 2 is a lot better sharper also the extra music to makes it a bonus, All the editions sound better than the originals, only draw back like you say the packaging and the discs but I can live with that, overall I'm happy with what I bought so I would buy it AC a lot better sound & all the extra music. Maybe wait for there sale at Varese pick one up cheaper they had it a while ago on sale for 69.99 that's when I bought mine. so maybe you should holdout a while get a better deal.
