Bit the bullet on this sale and made a large, last-minute purchase. Some are shots in the dark for me, as I have not seen the movies, but the composer decided it for me. Elfman, Silvestri and Goldsmith are pretty safe bets. I'll have to wait on Twister since it is temporarily out of stock. Hopefully, we will get another chance at a sale for this title.

All my purchases other than Twister were "shots in the dark". Unfamiliar with the scores they weren't even on my wish list. But YouTube is your friend. I sampled them there before taking the plunge.
I caved in & bought the Lethal Weapon box (well you can't take it with you). I'm sick of not buying soundtracks, I finally pulled the trigger on the FSM The Wild Bunch set last week (I was surprised it was still available) & plan on buying the two-disc Alien set next week (spreading it around the record companies).
Wonderful sale! Beteween this and the last halloween one... so many titles to get! What a pity that shipping rates for Europe are so high that pratically nullify the convenience of the sale for us europeans, since the shipment costs often more than the cd themselves.

Yup, & the shipping rate for Lethal Weapon isn't small (8 discs!). With the pound lower than it was & the postal rates & possible customs charges - none of this the fault of the record companies - it makes the casual purchase a thing of the past.
I got the Jurassic Park Collection today and was thrilled. However, I have a sincere question. Is this set supposed to have a booklet with it? The picture on the website seems to show that. I wasn't sure if the repressing of the set comes with it. I received only the 4 cds in the case. Can anyone who just ordered the set through with this last sale let me know? I just want to make sure.

Yeah. There's a booklet, obviously you're missing. La-La will sort it.

Same thing happened with my copy as well - I just sent a request for the booklet by e-mail. La-La Land has always been great about fixing these little issues so I don't anticipate any problems.
At least we can listen to the music in the meantime!

Thanks for the info. I never post about issues I have with a purchase but I honestly wasn't sure about the booklet. La La Land has top shelf customer service so I will indeed email them. Thanks again.
I just opened my Jurassic Park (which I just got in the mail) and there is no book either...
I don't always open up my new CDs immedieatly because I'm working through a stack of other soundtracks, so I'm thankful for threads like this and fellow soundtrack collectors.
No booklet in my copy either. Guess I'll have to contact La-La Land as well. I do note, however, that the rear and front inserts look pretty flat. One issue I've noticed (especially with clamshell releases) is that the inserts are cut slightly (very slightly) too large vertically, resulting in the inserts getting wavey. Which looks really bad. My copy of The Danny Elfman Batman collection has this issue.
