The nice thing about the new server is it'll allow people to view content much faster and therefore encourage people to post a lot more often.
We used to tell our customers to upgrade their server to make the system go faster, and yes, it just meant they would fill it up with more data much quicker until it slowed down again.

Looks like I spoke too soon about the search function. Nearly every post after 15 February 2016 seems to have disappeared from search. ----------------------------------------------------- Really? Not for me. I just found all my ol' Cinema Club entries, some of them dating back to 2001.
But I remember there had previously been an issue of semi-old threads. For example, the search could retrieve old threads, and brand new ones, but had trouble with the "second brand new" ones. -----------------------------------------------------
It's not the old threads that "search" can't find. It's the new ones. Type "SERVER" or "server" or "Server" in the search box and see if it finds THIS thread.
