I bloody LOVE Naxos.

There's very little snow there, though.

And you claim to have no sense of humour...

I have seen the havoc an inch once wreaked (wroke?) on South Yorkshire. How the bloody hell you guys ever won a war is beyond me.

That scene in Rocky 2 where Rocky proposes to Adrian at the snow covered zoo. Bill Conti brings in a very quiet piano version of You Take My Breath Away. (There, got it in before Henry could muster the strength.)

And I'm thinking of Ali McGraw eating snow, building a snowman and playing football with Ryan O'Neal in Love Story to Francis Lai's "Snow Frolic" vocalised by Danielle Licari.

Those two pieces always evoke a nice romantic winter feeling in me soul. And I gotta travel back 40 years to find em.

Not a score, but a band whose every song is about winter. And the phlegm you get from a bad cold. Enjoy! wink

And a few a bit more obscure.

Take a listen to "Horsemen in the Snow" from Castle Keep by Michel Legrand. It's on his Anthology album, Disc.15.

Then there's "Frozen Pond Fight" from The Four Musketeers by Lalo Schifrin.

And a fave of mine, "Pittsburgh 1901", the Main Theme from Mrs. Soffel by Mark Isham.

Am I the first to suggest IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE?

Alexander Courage's music for DAY OF THE OUTLAW reminds me of winter, mainly because of the film's context. Men slowly freezing to death at 3:15

For me no single short cue evokes snow & wintertime better than when Mr. Thompson reads, I first encountered Mr. Kane in 1871...

The mind's eye and ear is in a most pleasant state at this very moment.

Trevor Jones -The Last Place on Earth (1985). Most of the score evokes snow/winter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_xXo2JzK7CQ
