The Mummy got a mixed reaction (read the thread). Mummy Returns....I don't think I saw a single person have a dissenting opinion of those who bought it.

There were disxussions around the last 20 mins or so sounding different (worse) to the rest. But this was a recording thing rather than a mixing thing.

I heard about the Mummy not an issue cool, doe I didn't know there's problems with BNI what's wrong with the mixing, if it doesn't effect the sound recording crackle an pop, no biggie.

Just got mine... anyone notice an abrupt cutoff on track #14? It just stops a few seconds before the orchestra ought to stop playing, like the last few seconds of the track?

I only noticed an issue with ripping the last track of disc 2. It took forever but since it is a mirror of another track on the same disc I am not too worried.

EDIT: No I don't notice any such cutoff on Track 14 either.

Unsure but I can say this score has impressed me and touched me emotionally reminding me of what a giant we lost when we lost Mr. Horner. Though the jazz tracks are a bit outside my comfort zone, there are some lovely melodies that I would have not explored if it was not for this release. I had assumed incorrectly that I had experienced most of the impressive and necessary Horner themes despite missing this lovely score. Thanks to Intrada for releasing this lovely score.

The sound on this is extraordinary! Night and day better than the muddy MCA CD.

Disc 1, track 14 plays fine on my copy - however, I do have a different problem. Disc 2, track 4 jams to a halt at 6:40 and the only way to continue is to skip to the next track.

It was going so well...

There are no marks on the disc. I've contacted the good folks at Intrada.

It's a known mfg. issue and we're working with the plant to get replacement discs. Ugh.

Strange. I only had an issue with ripping the last track of disc 2. I don't recall any issues with Track 4, which I have listened to heavily after ripping it. Nothing obviously wrong with it.

I have not listened to that track from the CD. I did import it and just listened to it via my iPhone and headphones and it ripped correctly to my iPhone so no issue there. Will check CD when I get home. Bummer, as when things happen it's a huge headache. Sorry Intrada frown

I think it depends on the error correction of the playback device. Once ripped the files will play fine. I can only reproduce it myself on some systems and not others. But bottom line is there is an issue we have to have fixed.
