It's okay to not have everything you want. Life goes on just the same.

Okay, you just blew my mind!

If you take a look at David J. Schow's "The Outer Limits Companion", on page 133 which is the chapter entitled "The Outer Limits Sessions", you learn from Schow that "in all, thirteen episodes were scored (including the two pilots, 'Please Stand By' and 'The Unknown')".

On page 136, Schow indicates that "an orchestra of 40 players records six and a half minutes of music for the 'Please Stand By' pilot film".

On page 138, Schow continues and asserts that "an orchestra of 29 records 'The Invisibles'".

Do the liner notes mention why these two scores ("Please Stand By" and "The Invisibles") are not included? Are they lost or not found?

I just want to point out that this release is EVERYTHING that has survived and neither Mr Frontiere or MGM have any more music. This was a two year effort and we made sure to include everything that existed (and what was in "useable" shape).

I cant thank you enough MV, I love this music, I haven't been this excited about a release since Alien.

If this release were missing half of the music that's on it, it would still be most welcome in my music library. I mean, Good Lord -- this release has over THREE HOURS of "Outer Limits" music on it. Was anyone actually expecting anything this amazing the next time "OL" music was released? I would guess not.

It's okay to not have everything you want. Life goes on just the same. It's also good to have things you're still anticipating some day. Gives you another reason to continue on. Just my opinion.

I agree with you my friend. Im so happy to get this I may piss on myself when I see and hold it in my hot little hands.

Sigh! I guess I'm going to have to add a Stoney Burke soundtrack petition to my want/to do list now?

Double-Sigh!

It's not fair. I want everything now.

We only used the music tracks and didn't pull anything from the Music and Effects tracks for this release.

Ford A. Thaxton

Excellent, thanks Ford. The GNP Crescendo album was disappointing in that regard (which had the aforementioned Sheen screams).

More seriously, a "Stoney Burke" soundtrack is "really" needed.

I must admit that I am extremely happy about "The Outer Limits" 3-CD set release.

Among the people who own the CD soundtrack of "The Outer Limits", who can confirm that the author of the liner notes mention the absence of the scores "The Galaxy Being" and "The Invisibles".
Thanks in advance.

I have a shipped notice as well, so any day now. I think it's a given that this miraculous set, this set I could only have dreamed of as a kid and teen and- well, hell till now- contains the lion's share of Frontiere's memorable work on this show. Maybe not all of it, but enough to keep me happy.

What does Dominic say about releasing the Stony Burke cues?
Many OL cues (maybe just the Stoney Burke ones) were re-used in "Rat Patrol," so it always seemed there was a stockpile of cues lying around somewhere.

Is anyone planning on a Season 2 - Harry Lubin release? I heard a long cue from "Wolf 359" in the terrible "Dracula vs. Frankenstein"(1972) flick. The soundtrack only credits William Lava (re-used from other movies), so again I wonder if some OL cues were part of a studio or production library, which could be bought for a song.
