When people hear it, there first reaction is "What the Hell is That?" & I say " Its one of the greatest film scores ever writin' ". is there a problem?
No. I didn't think so....!
lol. Which track?
Main Tittle!! When the music gets really strong!!!
I upgraded to a new phone a couple months ago, an LG Cosmos, and it came with a MicroSD memory card slot. Now I don't have to worry about finding a good ringtone online and can just make and import my own. I had John Williams "Raiders March" on my previous phone, so I made one to go on my new phone. I also went ahead and made myself a Halloween theme ringtone that I'll switch to in October.
I used to have North By Northwest. I'm fed up of mobile phones and ringtones these days. It's just a plain ring now (similar to the Universal phone, like at the start of The Rockford Files).
I still have the 'jaunt' sound from The Tomorrow People as my text received sound.
I don't have a cell phone, but if I did I would want it to be the presidential red phone ring tone from the FLINT movies. Ever since I was a kid I always wanted a phone with that ring! Did Goldsmith write it or did it come from the sound department?

I know someone who will have a cell phone in August, or at least borrow one for a weekend...he he heeeee
I have I LOVE LA on my iphone, plus a few others like the Waltons theme, Star Trek First Contact, The Emperors Club, I think something from Deep Impact too.
Sorry for the thread revival, but with cell phones more becoming more sophisticated and user-friendly(?), do you still use movie-related music for ringtones, alerts, etc.? I have different tones for different callers and normally they are tailored to that specific person. Particularly family members are assigned ringtones that have some association with their personalities. As for alerts, my current fave is the airstrike radio call from the pilot ("Almighty") to Capt. Willard's crew ("PBR Streetgang") from Apocalypse Now which I use for incoming text messages. Folks my age usually get a chuckle when they hear it, if they get it.
Green Hornet Theme, arranged by Billy May, performed by Al Hirt. Sometimes I use Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre. People often seem delighted by either of them.
I've also got Morricone's "The Ecstasy of Gold" for one family member, and the "Super Chicken" theme for another.

His clucking Revellie will make a great wakeup call (I had been using Revillie from the Apocalypse Now "Orange Light" track); but will undoubtedly be unnerving to the wife. Thanks for the inspiration! - jack
