What is the grand total with shipping in the USA?

I'm not sure what it is domestically, but $21.50 is what I'll have to pay to have it shipped to Australia. Although, I suppose given the likely bulk of the package that figure isn't unreasonable.

Looks like the release we've been waiting for, at last.

With total charges of about $130 including overseas shipping, I'm sure it'll be around a while...

Just wait until you see the BSX price.

Schiffy, I'm looking at it from the listening perspective. That book and dvd might be fun, but how many times do you watch or read those things anyway?

Fair enough. I'm not defending or attacking the creative choice to include those things (the jury's still out), just saying that the price is not unreasonable given what it is. (Whether you want it to be what it is is another question.)

$121.13 direct from Varese is definitely the way to go in the USA!

But I still love all you guys at SAE!

I'll use that extra $30.00 to buy something from you guys!

This maybe Varese's crowning achievement, what a glorious set. I have been waiting years for this one- Bravo, Varese. Ordered a few copies. WOW!

This is actually cheaper than than the Goldsmith Fox set, with a better book and a DVD.

Actually, with tax and shipping, it comes out to $131.85 from Varese. Who cares, right?

Had time to really look through the list of what's in the set, and boy this isn't just a beefed up release, but a scholarly presentation and celebration of one of the greatest scores ever written (my personal choice for number one). I think I'll be spending a LOT of time studying the music with the amazing wealth of material assembled. This is the stuff dreams are made of for the hardcore film music fan/historian! Mega-wow!

BUGGER!

We are going to be in the middle of moving house/job etc. so I think (sadly) that this is going to be beyond me. Ah well enjoy folks.

I wish they'd release a cheaper 3cd set in a jewel case (just for me) I could afford discs 1,2 and 3.

Just about.

The sound clips are absolutely amazing.

It's Spartacus, Steve, that makes it okay. SPARTACUS! "My love, my life."

Okay, now off to bed.
