The little piece for the movie Kevin watches is, according to the cue sheet, called "Trade Center" and credited to Tom Elliot.

Mike

So I did some more digging on Tom Elliot's "Trade Center" and discovered that this attribution is absolutely INCORRECT!!! (Not blaming Mike here, just saying that the cue sheet appears to be wrong.)

Here is the correct cue:

"Lonely Street" (Erik Markman)
Media Music: The Professional Line
CD 6 - Great Music Ideas Through the Times
Track 30

SoundCloud link (pertinent portion starts at about 34 seconds into the cue):

Nice sleuthing. How kind of you to not blame me for simply reporting what I read on a cue sheet, where there are often errors.

Note that on the library music collection where you found this, there is a track called "Trade Center '50s," which i did spot on an obscure vinyl collection of library music years back. The CD collection is likely an update of that one. That might be how the error crept in. Or maybe another piece was in place at the time of the cue sheet screening.

The posts in this thread, by the way, do not cover the 25th anniversary 2CD version of Home Alone, where we did include additional songs and the Southside Johnny Lyon piece. But don't hold your breath for a 30th anniversary version that adds this.
