Crap, I just bought the Prometheus for like 50 dollars
Annoying, isn't it? About a month before Intrada released their 2-disc set of Goldsmith's "The Wind and the Lion", I forked out $85 for the original single-disc release. So, from then on, I vowed never to pay such an amount for any OOP soundtrack, because doing so would virtually guarantee that it would be re-released shortly thereafter.
Anyone know where I can get a 600x600 version of the cover art on the left? I like it more then the other one posted on the Intrada website [aka, the one on the right]
Additionally, this is the first release to present the entire score in film order, revealing the rich and intricate masterpiece Poledouris provided.
FAIL!!
Had it been the PROPER album order, I might actually have taken a plunge for this (as it's been on my short list for many years now). Damnit, everything was going so well untilll I read that single line above.
Oh well...perhaps the former Prometheus release (which relegated the useless bonus tracks to the end of the CD) will now plummet in price, making it affordable to me. That's something to hope for, I guess.
When we're trying to present a "definitive edition" (that is, the last one anyone would need to buy) we don't want folks to complain "I liked the OTHER cover better." This way, more people are happy.

I'll sell it to you for twenty bucks, how about that?

He, he....well, I'm hoping it'll get a bit lower than that eventually.

That's cool! For all my issues with the musical presentation, the artwork looks great!!
