BEWARE!!! My Intrada order has gone MIA from their site and my PayPal payment has been refunded, with NO explanation or communication given. I have an email out to Intrada to see what the heck happened... but I advise you to check their site to make sure your order is present.

I'm holding out hope that this will be resolved... but boy am I on the edge of angry...

And way beyond the edge of OVERREACTING....

If this just happened, you more then likely won't get a answer back from them until MONDAY when they are back in the office and if there was a glitch based on their track record they fix it at once.

Why are you even posting this here in the first place?

Do you just love to bitch about things in pubic for no good reason?

I am giving Intrada the benefit of the doubt. No judgments have been made. They've always been a stand-up shop and I own the vast majority of their releases.

I wanted just my fellow fans to check their orders... that's all. If I hadn't checked my order status on a whim, I never would have noticed this and I would have definitely missed out on this awesome release.

Or, in words you can probably relate to better... Shut your fat mouth. Stop looking for drama where there is none. No one is throwing stones.

Then why in the hell did post this in a PUBLIC FORUM before giving them a chance to REPLY TO YOUR EMAIL?

Just to bitch for the sake of it?

I wasn't the one who posted this BS first place, you were.

If anyone was looking for DRAMA, it was you.

DEAL WITH IT.

A reasonable human being would have at least given them a chance to reply before even THINKING about posting this rubbish here.

As I said...twice... I wanted folks who placed orders with Intrada to double-check that the order is still present. Did you not read that part... twice? There's no ill motive here at all. I love Intrada.

Jesus Christ! Even when someone tries to help out the f***ing community someone jumps down your throat. What the hell is wrong with this place!?

DEAL WITH IT

Oh, Bravo fine sir. Well said. You sure told me.

Perhaps the correct question is "What the hell is wrong with YOU?"

As I've already asked before, why post this without giving the folks at INTRADA a reasonable timeframe to answer your email about this matter (You have emailed about this haven't you?)

And I'd love to have you explain how your original post is "Helpful" in the slightest?

Because as far as I can tell, it isn't help in anyway other then to create a bit of "Drama" on your part.

I do have a direct quesiton 'Why didn't you wait until they had a chance to REPLY to you by email BEFORE posting this?"

a calm answer is what I'm asking for, nothing more.

It's a big old school gothic sounding score from Mr. Baxter that has richly deserved a release.

The clilps sold me in a heartbeat.

Thanks for teaching me about who Les Baxter is. wink

I'm talking about people's impressions since receiving the CD and listening. I've been listening pretty much non-stop since it arrived Thursday.

I hear similarities between this and LB's Bava scores, but with some very sensual, impressionistic elements that recall his Capitol album "The Sacred Idol," minus the exotic percussion, of course. This is due in part to the presence of the chorus, and also some jazzy turnarounds that go through the cycle of fifths, albeit arranged in a more symphonic manner.

I've purchased all of the Les Baxter CD soundtracks that have come out since "Master of the World" in 2009, with the exception of "Beach Blanket Bingo." My finger hovered over the "submit" button on the latter, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it.

All in all, I would say that three most significant of all of these Les Baxter releases are "Panic in Year Zero," "Sadismo," and now, "House of Usher." Unless "Beach Blanket Bingo" is really significant in a way that I don't get. smile

Of course, they are all significant, and I'm grateful to have all of them.

Because... for the THIRD time... I wanted to give folks a helps up in case it happened to them too. It wasn't a damning post, it was informational. I even said I was waiting for a reply before making any judgments. Seems fair to me.

a calm answer is what I'm asking for, nothing more.

Oh yeah? Is that why your first response to me was:
"And way beyond the edge of OVERREACTING...."
"Do you just love to bitch about things in pubic for no good reason?"

Did you really want to discuss this calmly? No. No you did not. Intrada does not need a surly gargoyle like you to be their defender, especially since no one here is bashing them.

Sorry to try to potentially help out the fans. My God.

What rubbish...

IMHO of course.

How is posting that HELPFUL to ANYONE in the slightest....

IT ISN"T..

All it does is create a bit of drama (Your goal I suspect).

When NONE EXISTS.

A reasonable and thoughtful person would have perhaps waited until INTRADA has had chance to answer your email in regards BEFORE posting on a public forum, like say waiting until the next business day.

This of course ASSUMES you have taken the time to contact them DIRECTLY before posting here.

You did do that BEFORE posting here, right?

And if so why was it so important to post here BEFORE hearing back from them?

to be compared to Don Rickles is hardly an insult -smile

He is one of the greatest standup comics of the 20th Century and quite a good actor in his own right.

To be compared to him is an honor, not an insult.

Thank about it.

It was intended as a stylistic comparison, and as neither a compliment nor an insult.

You're being the dramatic one. Soop.broth is letting others know that there may be a hiccup with their orders, and to check on them to make sure they haven't disappeared either.

What do you gain by being so boorish and unpleasant? What possible purpose are you serving by acting like soop's just personally attacked you?

Thank you for proving every point with your own words and charming tone..

But here is another queston?

If you wanted to get a answer to this WHY POST HERE?

Why not go to INTRADA's own forum, where Roger and Doug hang out and answer a wide range of questions about INTRADA all the time?

I suspect you might get a answer much sooner since they seem to keep a close eye in it even on the weekend?

I just checked and I don't seem to find any posts from you on this topic there?

If you want to resolve you might wish to post a POLITE question there and I pretty damned sure they'll address it or contact you directly.

Did you think about doing this?

If you need the URL here it is:

http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=4

I hope it of some help.

Back to the music:

I stated earlier, regarding Usher:

I hear similarities between this and LB's Bava scores, but with some very sensual, impressionistic elements that recall his Capitol album "The Sacred Idol," minus the exotic percussion, of course. This is due in part to the presence of the chorus, and also some jazzy turnarounds that go through the cycle of fifths, albeit arranged in a more symphonic manner.

The hardcore Baxter fan will also hear occasional brief touches reminiscent of "Jewels of the Sea" and "Ports of Pleasure."

Again, this is one of the most significant of all the recent Baxter releases.
