Well, the sessions will actually start VERY soon.
the movie won't be out for another 10 weeks, so there should a plenty of time to master the score using full recording. And perhaps even some time left for Marco and his team to take a short holiday after such a super busy year.

Then Carrie, Mad Max 4 and The Homesman are next and will probably keep him busy until the end of the year smile

Are you sure about Beltrami scoring Mad Max 4? The film is scheduled for release in 2014 and according to Wikipedia Christopher Young is composing the score.

I would love to be wrong---the more Beltrami releases the better.

I'm near certain Beltrami is not scoring Mad Max 4. He joked about scoring it to his agent and fans awhile back at FFM and I think the rumor started there -- it was even on his official page "credits" section for a week or two, and promptly removed. There has been no new mention of the project by Beltrami or Sanders since.

hmmm... too bad... didn't get it was supposed to be a joke.
Well, then Carrie and Homesman "only" or is anything else on the horizon considering that all these projects (except recent Homesman, which is probably still shooting) has been known for at least a year.

The last rumor I heard from a good source is that the directors and producers don't think the film needs a SCORE, but are rather using some guitar player who is in the film to "Score it"..

Needless to say this won't last and WB will hire Hans Zimmer and his 22 helpers to score the film when the test audiences cards come backing asking where is the music and give the team only 2 weeks to do the whole thing.

The Sad thing is that I suspect I'm be right.

Oh well.

Yes: VACATION!

These guys have been running 24/7/365 and the trouble of WWZ probably made it feel worse than that.

They need a break, and we will have some sweet scores to enjoy while they're chillin in Guadalajara or wherever...big grin

The second trailer is much better than the first, with the exception of some bad CG (the tongue, the samurai).

For the new Mad Max film, I had gotten the info' from marco-beltrami.com, which still has it on the films page, and the old news page.

A very quick search shows some people at a Mad Max site reporting the Christopher Young entry on the wikipedia page was aded in December of last year.

Now, that looks very interesting. These international trailers are so much better than the previous US examples.

These titles were correct but not finalized at this point; most likely titles will change.

Just listened today! What can I say, it's just freakin' awesome. I pretty much gush about Beltrami all the time, so it's nothing new from my keyboard, but Wolverine is just outstanding. Better than World War Z for sure, and nearly as brilliant as Snowpiercer, which in my opinion is a work of genius. Hyperbole, schmyperbole, I am passionate about this stuff. Wait till you hear what Beltrami did with the harmonica in Wolverine! big grin
