Still waiting for mine to arrive but noticed from La La Lands site that some of the cues are rather long - especially track 14 Bikes/Fight/Nick and Masa.
Long cues seems to be Zimmer's trademark. But anyway, Black Rain is probably his masterpiece and the album is a strong contender for the best release of the year (though nothing can top La-La Land's Star Trek: The Motion Picture).
I'm hoping for Deep Space Nine--it might be too much to ask Trekkies to buy it in November at the same time as TOS. At least, if it does come out soon, I'll probably take the opportunity to grab Black Rain with it.

ME TOO!!! I can't wait to see the package design and read the liner notes, etc., and spend hours listening to all its DS9 goodness! This will be the biggest release of the year for me....
Ahhh, my LLL order came in the mail today. Not one cracked case or broken tooth. Gave Money Train a spin tonight...pretty fun score.
Same here, no cracked case of broken tooth for my Black Rain. Confessedly, it is a neat presentation on disc and on linear notes. Up to this point, the Zimmer and Mancina dics by LLL have been fantastic. Once you have procured them, you feel the urge to cherish them with zealous care.
Black Rain is superb. Excellent job Lala. Sound quality, presentation, packaging - everything is first-rate. I love the last half of track 9 - Masa's Reprimand/Sugai. Classic Zimmer. Very cool alternates too.
I used to have a cassette back in the late 80's I think it was from Premiere magazine - that contained suites and themes from movies of the time. It had stuff like Dangerous Liasons, Glory and Empire of The Sun. There was also a suite from Black Rain that was my favorite one on the tape.
It's really nostalgic all these years later to have the complete score on CD. Brings back happy memories. Thank you.
I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before, but does anyone think "Commundication" is a typo? I'm not positive since MV posted it as such in this thread, but I recall no special way of saying communication in the film.

Is it possibly because the 5 year old says it while he's working on the device and he's got a bit of a young speech thing going on?
