I'll be attending this year! So excited! Pardon my ignorance, but does one need to buy a ticket or anything? Thanks Thor and I think tickets were $21 if I'm not mistaken. MOST excellent. Yes I did start charging a fee which goes into help paying for the event. Rest assured I don't make one single dime from putting this on. Tickets and all that will come in the months ahead. Friday night we will be partying at Christopher Young's house. Still have to work out the details for that. Saturday will be the GSPO Halloween Varese 35th Concert which you'll need to buy a ticket. Usually at the GSPO they usually have a few composers in the audience. I hope everyone goes to that on Saturday, as I'll be there for sure. Stay tuned to this thread, our Facebook page, as well as the website www.fansoffilmmusic.com for more details. We're still half a year away which I actually like. Makes me feel I have more time to get everything done. This years fee will be $25 to attend the Sunday two panel discussion. Moderated by Richard Kraft and Daniel Schweiger. Focus will be on Varese Sarabande's 35th Ann. with composers in attendance who have had their work released on the label.

OK so I'm on my own to buy tickets to the Saturday concert, and at some point in the future you'll have tickets for sale to the Sunday discussion. Where to I go to buy tickets to that Saturday concert? And what about the Friday night part at Christopher Young's? Is that part of the $25 ticket or a separate purchase (or free?)

The Chris Young event I still don't know about pricing or if we'll even have a price. Still have to work out all those kinks. Saturday's concert, go to www.gspo.com to get your ticket when the October concert becomes available to buy a ticket in the coming months. San Pedro is a very short drive from LA. I'm also sure many folks will probably meet up before hand for dinner around San Pedro. Stay tuned for all of that. Jason we are friends on Facebook, so you'll know all the details and I invite you and anyone else just email me any questions you may have. I'm here for you to make sure you have a great great weekend, filled with memories and hopefully a few new friends! peter @fansoffilmmusic.com remove the SPACE between the letter R and the @ sign before sending me an email.

Just had a lovely chat with Christopher Young who we will be partying with at his house Friday October 18th. I swear the more I get to talk with him and hang with him the more I love him. SUCH a cool guy. He is so excited to have all of us well behaved fans at his house! ANYWAY, on to today's news. As a little surprise, we'd like to congratulate and ANNOUNCE one of the many composers we have coming to this years Fans of Film Music 4, Mr. Jeff Beal. He was nominated for an Emmy Award for his incredible music for the Netflix show, House of Cards which you can pick up here http://www.varesesarabande.com/servlet/the-1094/House-Of-Cards/Detail Don't forget to do a search on Varese Sarabande's site at the TOP RIGHT for more great releases of Jeff Beal's music and come October 20th to get your favorite three signed! We couldn't be more honored to have Mr. Beal join us on October 20th and we'd like to extend a very happy congratulations to him from all the Fans of Film Music! Tickets are NOT yet available to purchase for FFM4's two panel discussion, but will be VERY VERY soon. Stay tuned here, my website www.fansoffilmmusic.com and our Facebook page Fans of Film Music. I'm guessing within a week I'll go live and again seats are VERY limited!

As another surprise, we'd like to welcome....drum role please! Mr. Cliff Eidelman to this years Fans of Film Music 4. Cliff has had several scores released on Varese's label like Triumph of the Spirit, Christopher Columbus: The Discovery, Untamed Heart, A Simple Twist of Fate, Now and Then, The Picture Bride, Free Willy 3: The Rescue, Harrison's Flowers, Romeo and Juliet collection of Music, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Big Miracle, and for all you Trek and Alien fans, he conducted a few pieces for both of those massive empires! Though for me, my all time favorite by him is One True Thing also released on Varese. ALSO, if that wasn't enough Cliff also conducted the finale cue from RUDY at this years May GSPO/Varese Sarabande's 35th Celebration in San Pedro, CA. There wasn't a dry eye in the place, particularly me. We couldn't be more excited to have Cliff Eidelman come to this years event as we continue the year long celebration with Varese Sarabande Records!

We're hoping to take seat requests starting sometime next week! We will have a VERY limited supply of seats and I can't say enough, if you are going or want to go get your ticket ASAP. Every year our wait list gets bigger and bigger which I must admit to that I really dislike. I hate telling my fellow film music friends sorry we're full We're slowing building this event up, but the proper way to do it is slowly and not all at once! Can't wait to see a lot of old friends and hopefully make some new ones!
