Yeah, THE WALKING DEAD is currently getting it SO right on TV at the moment, why bother with cinema step-downs?

All those CGI zombies swarming looks pretty ludicrous to YOR. Amen, YOR. How did no one at Paramount or on the crew of this film look at that shot of the CGI zombies crawling over each other like ants and think, 'this looks mother-f'ing stupid'?! The ant-comparison was intended.

The ant-comparison was intended. Right on. The filmmakers decided to portray the zombie swarm like an insect swarm; spread of the zombie plague like basic nature animal and insect tendencies and behavior, which I personally think is totally awesome and original. Scarier too -- a more relentless and dangerous zombie mob mentality. Diggin' it.

I have. Would characterize it as dark, raw, brutal, tense. About what you might expect for a film like this. Of course, as usual with Beltrami, he is able to inject some epic, soaring beauty and/or scope whenever he can, utilizing full orchestra...but also countering it with some relentless pulsing rhythms elsewhere and typical creative electronics. It's a great score but nowhere near as phenomenal as Snowpiercer! If I had to recommend one over the other I would recommend Snowpiercer -- but of course there is always room for two epic Beltrami scores thus I would recommend both! Cool. Thanks for the info! Who is releasing Snowpiercer? I looked on Amazon, and there isn't anything for it just yet. No one so far. Hoping someone will! One of the best of Marco's career, and that is saying a LOT!

I'm sorry, but it still looks stupid and years from now, I'm gonna die with that opinion in my mouth. ---And what that has to do with Beltrami's score, I'll never know.

The samples intrigue me - although, due to the filmĀ“s structure, Beltrami has to deliver mostly music for action sequences with mostly familiar elements. Still, sounds like a good score.
