I got an e-mail from BSX about the autographed copies at about 4am last night, and had my order in at about 4:15. This will go very well with my autographed Ron Jones set.
BSX has now sold out of all of their autographed copies of this title.
If your order number is under #59852, you'll be getting a autographed copy.
It's great to see this re-released not only remastered but also expanded and complete with a great booklet. This closes the book under Ron Jones' great Trek legacy.
The STAR TREK music renaissance has turned into such a lavish outpouring of CDs, it's incredible. I did not see it coming when THE WRATH OF KHAN was announced. Did anybody?
i preeedicted it a few years back when the used bin at Amoeba was flooded with TREK scores.

Because GNP has released 4 volumes of Star Trek The Next Generation music
Volume 1: Encounter at Farpoint Volume 2: The Best Of Both Worlds Volume 3: Yesterday's Enterprise / Unification I & II / Hollow Pursuits Volume 4: Tin Man / The Inner Light / Sub Rosa / A Fistful of Datas / Dark Page / Descent / Birthright
Riker does become captain of the USS Titan during Star Trek: Nemesis.
Ya but that's AFTER he finally accepted his own command. As far as TURNING DOWN any other commands they never had any stories regarding that after this episode.
Thanks for confirming that; I just found it weird since there was an episode featuring Riker's dad in season 2 establishing his reluctance to get his own command, and then after it comes up again in BOBW they never hint at it during the rest of the series, instead focusing on his trombone playing (though Troi & others get additonal rank throughout those seasons).
P.S. just watched the special features on the first season blu-rays and it is indeed nice to hear Ron Jones' music used for those.

When I read about Lukas negotiating these things or when I see him manage to not speak ill of the people who obviously piss him off I think that he could bring about world peace! Maybe?
Of course, that's pretty much why he got OUT, isn't it?
Just got my CD in the mail today and preparing to do a first listen. Anyone know if any of the Ron Jones boxed music from this episode was left out or is it all there now on the CD (with more I'd assume). Did a quick look and seen that the tracks are arranged differently this time around. Many are now combined (which is fine by me). So the track count from the liner notes http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/notes/box05_disc12.html#ep5 for a chronological playlist are down from 25 (27 if you include the main titles on the original CD) to 19 (or 21). Time to jam out.

Are there expanded pdf liner notes online for this release like there were with GENERATIONS and FIRST CONTACT, or is the physical insert in the CD it (not that that would be bad at all--it's a nice booklet as is--I just want to be sure if there's more info out there to be found, I don't miss it)?
