I wonder if the romantic score could be Isham's score to 1994's The Getaway? It has some very beautiful music in it.

La-La Land has just announced for a Fall 2012 release the score to the new Thundercats series, according to their Facebook page.

OMG, for a moment my heart stopped! I thought it was for the old cartoon series...frown
the masters exist. It's just a matter of someone releasing it.

Hi MV and La La Land...

Do you guys have any plans on releasing any Marco Beltrami scores this year? I know you picked up Max Payne a few years back and I would love to see more by this composer on your label. Maybe scores that have gone unreleased in years past, such as Captivity, xXx 2, or my personal favorite, The Invisible?

Thanks again for the Friday box!

Here's the quote:

"We are going to be working with composer Kevin Kliesch, putting out an album of his awesome music for "Thundercats" this fall. Be sure to 'like' his Facebook page; he'll soon be asking for input from the fans as to what music should be on the album!"

And a description and link below it:

Kevin has been involved with music since the age of 3, when he started to play television themes on his trusty Fisher Price xylophone. He graduated and later taught at Boston's Berklee College of Music. He moved to Los Angeles in 1996 and has since held many positions in the film music industry, including composer, orchestrator, arranger, conductor, engineer, copyist, music editor, and session player. He plays piano, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, french horn, saxophone, Playstation and Xbox. Kevin is married to wife Amy and has twins Erin and Connor born in February 2008.

Like DeputyRiley, I too would love to see a formal CD release of Beltrami's "Captivity." I was very intrigued by the ominous mystery of the score.

They've revealed two of the three titles. They are...

- Planet of the Apes (3-disc) - Danny Elfman

and

- A Walk in the Clouds - Maurice Jarre

The A Walk in the Clouds release will have 30 additional minutes not on the Milan release.

A walk in the clouds is one of the last great epic Jarre scores. A newly remastered cd was sorely required!

Very nice that this lovely score from Jarre comes in an extended version.
Buy it for sure and reminds me of my days in California Wine Country.

I think one is pushed back? MV has written in one of his previous posts that maybe one isn't ready on the release date...

For this Valentine’s Day, La-La Land and 20th Century Fox get their romance on by releasing an expanded version for the Golden Globe award winning score to A WALK IN THE CLOUDS.

Maurice Jarre fashioned one of his most beautiful and powerful scores to the 1995 hit film starring Keanu Reeves and Anthony Quinn. The Alfonso Arau directed romantic tale is set against the vineyard back drop of a post WWII Napa Valley where a soldier falls in love with an unwed, pregnant Mexican-American woman. The lush, almost fairy tale visuals of cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki provide the perfect images for Jarre to compose music that speaks to the heart. Filled with sweeping, colorful themes, this newly expanded edition clocks in at 72 minutes, doubling the running time of previous releases. Julie Kirgo takes the listeners behind the scenes of the film and its music while Dan Goldwasser’s art direction shows off just how beautiful the film looks.

Both cds go on sale next Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 1 pm PST at www.lalalandrecords.com

Sound clips, track listings and cover art will be posted then.

What better way to say BE MINE than by picking up the music of Apes and Keanu for a loved one?

More money to get the same old scores again! Boring...

And Valentine's? You're joking aren't ya?!

Stll, nice to see professional artists continue to prevail at LLL.

'A Walk In The Clouds' interests me more here. I always thought there was much more Jarre to hear than on the original MILAN release. Always liked this score. Hate the film though, pretty much unwatchable.
I'm afraid 'POTA' is just a feast too much for me.
