will there be any Encore releases?? Or are they not considered part of the Club releases?

Well they certainly combined them before. As I said in the other thread, I wouldn't be surprised if The Abyss were an Encore rather than an expanded club release.

Why it should be encore when original is still so widely available?

Well, if The Abyss is in this batch, I'll be very happy (and slightly poorer financially, but slightly richer musically).

There are 2 other scores I'd love to get expanded/complete:

Star Trek Into Darkness
Star Trek Nemesis

Both are top of my want list, both are great scores (IMHO), and both go towards my Star Trek completest obsession. smile

Perhaps there's a further volume of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour.
The previous ones were excellent.

Every time I see the name "Predator 2", I'm reminded os this video one of the musicians on the score made to describe the weird instrument he played:

"The Abyss" is owned in perpetuity by Varese (so far, none of their "in perpetuity" titles have been done by other labels), and, well, the beans were spilled by a master websites list of upcoming titles:

Here's the so far confirmed list of Varese in perpetuity titles:

That is an interesting bit of info to be sure, although it's a shame there is no picture of this custom-made instrument. I always thought it was a particular type of saxophone, such as tenor sax, to get that squealing type of sound. That kind of acoustic sound invention for a score seems very Goldsmithian! smile

I doubt it will be all massive titles the likes of La-La's batch, maybe one big crowd pleaser expansion or premiere release, a smaller picture and an encore edition aside from the concert release... On facebook Varese commented

"Of course we won't be able to fulfill everyone's hopes with just one batch of titles, but we've been doing this a long time and are going to keep doing it. Lots more great music to come and, in time, I hope there will be special titles for everyone."

Do we know what time the announcement will be made on Monday? I live in the UK and would be devestated to miss any limited editions.

As I recall, over here the titles usually start popping up around 2:00 am CST, for me. It's been so long since the last batch that I've forgotten the Varese Club times.

Deluxe edition: Dracula (Williams)
Deluxe edition: Starship Troopers (Poledouris)
Encore edition: Fedora (Rozsa)
Fimucite CD+DVD: Concert dedicated to Bernard Herrmann

I'd think Jerry Goldsmiths, Our Man Flint & In Like Flint expanded original scores would be a good guess after they turned up as isolated tracks on the Twilight Time Blu-rays. I have the In Like Flint Blu-ray (it looks great) & there's just under 56 minutes of soundtrack music, all stereo, probably around the same for Our Man Flint, so a two disc set?

Yes to the Flints please, but don't forget The Other which would be even more magnificent as a complete release...
