Feb 10. That would be Jerry Goldsmith's birthday would it not? Coincidence?

And this year marks the 10th anniversary of his passing (as well as that of another Townson favourite, Elmer Bernstein). Hmmm.

Astonishing, but true! :-/

Or maybe they just return for old scheme: 4 batches per-year?

Maybe. But I don't think we've ever had a new batch being announced within a month of the previous batch's shipping date.

It would be nice if one of the following were included:

Peggy Sue Got Married (Barry) expanded/remastered
Year Of The Comet (Barry)- rejected
Jagged Edge (Barry) reissue

No Varese John Barry release since 2000. Come on, one is due!!!! wink

Wow that was quick. Why do people want Predator 2? The original album was very generous and had all the highlights? What notable music was missing???

Would prefer to see the 30 min albums get deluxed first.

Predator 2

The condition of the board is growing worse as there now seem to be double post hours later. big grin

As long as we are on the subject of Predator, I still would like to have this epic trailer music released as well (or maybe rerecorded BSX?)

I'm just now getting around to buying the stuff LaLaLand and Varese put out at the end of last year, and am now terrified I'll be looking at some glorious-yet-unaffordable Jerry Goldsmith box that fulfills some secret wish of mine.

(An Elmer Bernstein box would also be just as welcomed.)

Count me in for Predator 2, Air Force One, and any expanded 90's Goldsmith (U.S. Marshals, Executive Decision, Along Came a Spider, Hollow Man)...

Would love some expanded Powell action/thiller scores (Bourne trilogy, Green Zone, Hancock, Paycheck, Italian Job)

But most of all...

James Newton Howard's expanded/complete DREAMCATCHER!!!

Forgot to include that one! I do hope if it gets expanded, the end title remix will be on it as well.

One score that doesn't get mentioned often that I think would greatly benefit from an expansion is "On Deadly Ground" by Basil Poledouris. Lots of great action music was left out from the 30min. original release.

Monday the 10th? Guess that means Sunday the 9th for the webmaster of Colosseum.de.

I guess that means I'll be avoiding this site on that day.

(In the internet age, where, literally, nothing can be kept a secret, it was nice having some sense of mystery with the titles. While I like you and have enjoyed your posts, I must say that that was an unprecedented act of uncoolness you pulled with the last batch.)

Still, it is nice to have two batches this close to one another.

Senn555 has nothing better to do than sit next to his computer every minute of everyday and post the new releases before anyone else posts them. It makes him feel special.

I believe we have had enough Conti for awhile, sorry henry. Looking for some Goldsmith, Williams or Silvestri.
STAR TREK - Giachinno - with choir?

Whether it's this batch or not, I have to think SPIES LIKE US will be part of the Encore series. At least I hope so. I had the chance to get a new copy years ago in a record store and biffed it. NEVER AGAIN.

Would love to see Predator 2 Deluxe at some point (as would others it seems smile) then I can thrown away my final boot.
I would also imagine that an encore release of Joe vs Volcano will appear as well as a deluxe edition of Into Darkness.

Although with Abyss and Nemesis in the last batch whether we will get another Star Trek and Silvesti this time around....

Personally I'd love a re-release of the Herrmann at Fox box but I doubt that will ever happen.

Encore releases:

...

The Right Stuff

Unless you mean the Right Stuff/North and South rerecording, The Right Stuff wouldn't fit for an encore release given how recent it is and that it was a club disc.
Personally, I would rather Varese not touch it and it have a PROPER release from Intrada or Lalaland.

My hopes (seriously, any one of these will do):

Demolition Man: DE
On Deadly Ground: DE
Outbreak: DE
Small Soldiers: DE (it's about damn time for this one)

Tourist Trap: Encore

Very unusual, for such a swift release of another Club selection, so soon after the last.

Remember that "storm" warning everybody ignored? Maybe we should start popping our umbrellas... wink

Is there much left to put in such a Goldsmith Box? When JG @ 20th Century Fox came out, it was just at the start of the new wave of limited editions and there was a lot of unreleased material in the set. Now... not so much.

I do totally buy that there will be a Goldsmith title in the batch and if I had to guess, I'd say Gremlins 2 or The List of Adrian Messenger.

Chris
