I'm confused. Is the date set at Wed. June 4th? Subsequent posts seem indeterminate.
Yes, the date is set at June 4th. The ensuing discussion of dates in the beginning of the thread was conducted when the time wasn't set yet. The first post has since been edited with the set date of June 4th.
The only thing that isn't set yet is the restaurant.
Thor, the place we've discussed is too small to take all of us, so there is a place I'm checking out that has a downstairs and is on 38th Street and 8th Avenue.

The time is set to 6PM, jp.
The trouble with 6pm on a weeknight is you will still have the after work, happy hour crowd, which I have always abhorred, because you get a lot of yuppies trying to hookup and show off and windup as sloppy drunks. Bad for the tourist trade.

Okay, now that the date and time are relatively carved in stone, I'll be there. My train ride from Trenton will be about 75 minutes so I should be close to arriving by 6PM.
I'll try to bring some interesting items to see.

The deadline has now passed. We will be 12 people (if everyone turns up).
I have 4-5 restaurant alternatives, and will book in the coming days as soon as I find out about availability etc. Hopefully, it will be fine for everyone.

I sent you a reply concerning the place you've recommended. It looks pretty good, but I will know more when I confirm the reservation with the events manager tomorrow afternoon. Great looking food and beer menu. My mouth is watering now.

Though the deadline has since passed, I found out today that I'll probably be in Manhattan on business during the time of the get-together. I won't know more details for a little while, but I might be able to - at the very least - stop by the goings-on and say "hello," that way no one has to adjust numbers for the table or anything like that.
