well... part of my excitement of this release is not only that we are getting an expanded (if not complete) Lion King, but (hopefully) a remastered one. Hope they do a good job in that area.

According to the people over at hans-zimmer.com Alan Meyerson did a new mix for this release

HELL YES to Swiss Family Robinson. I'd also love some Clifton Parker (Treasure Island and Robin Hood in particular) as well as Darby O'Gill by Oliver Wallace.

Yavar

Yes, seeing first-time releases of those soundtracks as well as Paul J. Smith's score to the original Parent Trap and more music by Buddy Baker would be much more thrilling for me. Whether it's Disney or Intrada, someone just release them already! But I'll never complain about Disney score expansions (hopefully with improved sound quality).

I wonder how the Disneyland 60th Anniversary collection will differ from the awesome 50th Anniversary set.

Does anyone know when they'll reveal the tracking listing for the other releases for this year?

Given the next one isn't due out until August you may be in for a long wait.

I guess MRAUDIO is referring to the actual music during he fight sequence between Simba and Scar .. but that particular music was not included on the OST...

On the new release, if it's there, it'll be in track 21 - The Rightful King.

Correct, the fight cue, as heard in the film - I thought the music was not on the original CD, from what I remember - that is one GREAT cue and it really shows what Zimmer could REALLY do as far as composing a great action piece at the time.

Anyway, I love this soundtrack and I'm really happy that Disney is gifting us with this new treasure...:-)

The music were they are fighting in slow motion with fire around them is on the OST. Or the cue I am thinking of is not the music your referring too.

Yes, that is the fight scene, in slow motion at the end of the film - I will have to dig out my old CD, but I still don't recall this music on that original CD - BTW, I have the 1994 original release...:-)

I think the part starting at 2:15 is some of the action music, but its very short.
(Which I believe is on the OST.)

Now I see that is but a small snippet of music from that sequence.

Yes, the slow motion fight is the part that starts after 7:35 of this video, which was not on the OST album. Probably it will be part of "The Rightful King", as that track have a similar duration to the one of this video (taking into acount the reported timing of the track it is likely that the new album track will be the same track, starting at 0:15 and ending before the final 50 seconds of the track on this video).

I don't think the running times have been revealed yet. I guess he just noticed the timings added to the tracklist by ChristianKühn in a post on page one in this thread (read the post for more info).

However, this youtube video is actually not different, as in having more music, it's from some old unofficial version that played back at a slower speed, making it a minute longer...
