I wonder why the "King of Kings--Entracte" on Kickstarter is actually "Sodom & Gomorrah--Answer To a Dream"? I thought the idea was to give people a taste of what they were contributing to.

You did not read what it says!

The video shows Sodom as "what can be achieved"....

The audio track below the video is a separate recording of the Entracte I did right at the end of the Ben Hur session...when there was no camera crew....so obviously there was no video.

So there are 2 elements on the home page....Sodom video as an example....and Entracte audio as another example...of what we could achieve......

Thanks, James, I heard you the first time. smile

It's just that retarded people like myself would click on the KoK graphic there and expect to find something from KoK.
Or...they might be better at reading than I am.

If I may suggest a slight change to one of the awards on the Kickstarter page, if possible, I'd open the awards for the £250 contribution to any 5 CDs from the current Tadlow catalogue. For me, and I am sure that it is the same for others, I've some of the Rozsa CDs though not of all of the CDs from Tadlow. I understand why you are offering only Rozsa CDs, however by broadening the CDs on offer you might pick up more donations and move closer to your overall goal of securing the funding needed.

James has obviously taken that good idea on board as a new £200 pledge.

Interesting. If you pledge 200 pounds you get the CD in May 2018 rather than 2019. Might be a problem for those who've pledged more, as they don't get theirs for a further year. smile

Nearly halfway there.....

Now comes the most difficult part...getting it to total amount.

Hopefully there are more Rozsa and Classic Film Music fans out there.... as over 2000 copies of Tadlow's BEN-HUR sold so far...but only 126 pledges for KING OF KINGS at the moment. Every pledge, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated

Many thanks
James

Some folks might be like me, using the time frame to gather up funds toward the project. I had to make sure I had all of my holiday spending figured out, wait for a couple more paychecks, and then put my first in a series of donations in.

I have this gut feeling that this will get done.

Also, I must mention 2,000 copies of a CD sold today is strikingly great, congratulations! I hit the 5,000 mark on my first CD, but it took over four years lol!

Golden Age fans : Now is the time where you have been asking for so often.
Back up James for this project and it strikes me that there is no commentary so far
from our devoted Golden Age friends PFK and Cody 1949 or am I misstaken ?
Pardon me for asking.

Sorry, James. I did buy 4 copies of "Ben-Hur". So there are only 1996 fans left... :-)

Good question! Where are all those classic film scores fans???
I am quiet sure that if the "King of Kings" project is successful, James will do some more projects as well.
So NOW is the time to invest in the future of good filmmusic!

It's definitely one of those CDs where, if and when I ever lose it somehow, immediate repurchase. James and the lot did a magnificent job. How about the intensity of the rowing cues? Terrific stuff.
