"Legal under European law" is the only part of the sentence that matters in the long run. Right.

Since I just listened to my copy of "Sebastian", I came to think of the old saying that we who bought the Harkit release would soon regret it. Now, two and a half year and many listenings later, I wonder if anyone has some news regarding the upcoming, proper, remastered and perhaps expanded release? Not that I find the sound of the Harkit release have bad sound, but thereĀ“s nothing to compare it with. And if the upcoming release would be expanded, I would for sure get it.

Please, can't anyone with info say either 'yes this is coming, be patient' OR 'no, it's been abandoned'?. I know most soundtrack releases are shrouded in secrecy but perhaps just a hint as to where we stand with this one would be appropriate. Thanks

Thanks If it's do-able, and if it's Jerry, I'd hardly think it would be abandoned. OK, I'll assume that it's still coming!

Posted: Apr 29, 2009 - 12:45 PM By: Lukas Kendall (Member) You may have heard, or will be hearing, rumblings about the thieves at Harkit issuing a CD of Goldsmith's Sebastian. We had major problems with Harkit releasing pirate versions of Bell, Book and Candle and Klute before we did the official ones, and we had to have lawyers stomp on them to keep them from pirating The Man From U.N.C.L.E. Anyway, if they do something with Sebastian, DON'T BUY IT. Can't say any more -- it's not us working on a license -- but you would be VERY SORRY if you spent money on Harkit's inane vinyl transfer and then saw what was subsequently released for real. Get it? Thanks, Lukas I did what you asked to do : I didn't buy "it", based on a "strongly suggested" hint... So ?... Is SEBASTIAN one of the forthcoming (and last) FSM releases ? Many thanks

Is SEBASTIAN one of the forthcoming (and last) FSM releases ? Many thanks I'm pretty sure I remember Lukas saying (it's quite a long time ago now) that something was in the works but not from FSM. [EDIT: My memory doesn't deceive me. Michael mentions this in the third post from the top, and that's from well over a year ago.]

What if the Harkit release killed the deal to release Sebastian legitimately?

What if the Harkit release killed the deal to release Sebastian legitimately? That could be possible - I fear!? I've downloaded a suite of three tracks from youtube. I'll make do with that. If a decent release happens then I'll happily purchase it. I'll pass on the Harkit
