“DEEP IN THE MEADOW (LULLABY)”
Lyrics by Suzanne Collins
Music by T Bone Burnett and Simone Burnett
Performed by Jennifer Lawrence and Willow Shields

Hang on a minute, Rue's going to be singing as well? Anyway, no bad thing...

No. It's Prim. Amandla Stenberg (the girl who played Zoe Saldana's character in Colombiana) is the one who plays Rue.

Score Mixed at John Powell Studios, Pacific Palisades, CA

He's got studios now? Blimey.

So does Beltrami! These creative geniuses need a place to call their own. smile

Please...

SCORE ONLY on one CD. SCORE ONLY. NO DIALOGUE.

Everything else on another CD.

Just my wish.

I personally am hoping against another Water For Elephants-style release (in presentation, not score content). Just my thoughts.

I hope it does have score only, but it might contain a song or two (hopefully that's it) that were important in the book.

It will be score only because most of the songs are already on the "Songs from District 12 and Beyond" compilation. Maybe they'll include Deep In The Meadow, since that it was wrote to be performed in the movie.

The problem will probably be T-Bone Burnett's "special touch" on JNH's score... wink frown

From a cursory glance, looks to be about 45 minutes. I already have it on pre-order from Amazon. Just a few more weeks!

It is. It's half of the 80 minutes of music he wrote for the movie.

He wrote that much? Cool. I'm guessing they won't use it because of songs and other things. If I can ask, how do you know that information?

A interview JNH made when he was in Dallas, he said that wrote 80 minutes of music in four weeks. I posted here.

I hadn't seen this before, but I was curious about what we were in for around 33 seconds in, when there was that really jerky shot of the Meyerson center auditorium as the host introduced the interview. I found myself giggling a little whenever the severe mic problems happened during the first part of the interview, but then totally lost it midway through when JNH said he had to get going, and then in the next shot, the host was holding a large 80s style mic up to a speakerphone!

All that said, interesting interview... I hadn't seen much footage of JNH in conversation before and it was interesting to hear what he had to say.

Does anyone know/has anyone found samples of the score? Or are they keeping it all under wraps?

I thought it's always been next Monday. At least it was several weeks ago when I pre-ordered my copy.
