Just in case someone isn't aware of it, it's not just available in the 128kbit stream quality you get when you play it back on the soundcloud page, you can also download all tracks in HQ AAC~256kbit files...

Saw the film last night. Actually I thought it was quite a bit of fun. Doesn't take itself seriously and has a nice little twist at the end. Tyler's complete score is a delight. Not sure whether he intended to activate the Download option but it's a great listen in its complete format without the weird remix versions and songs.

Really great score.

I know that LLL has rescued some of Brian Tyler's works from being unreleased (Terror Tract a while ago, but more recently Terra Nova and John Dies At The End). Is there any chance they might release an expanded Now You See Me on CD? I know I'm shooting in the dark here, but hey, a guy can hope!

I second that grand idea!!! I would love an expanded "Now You See Me" cd. Let's hope a label can work their magic.

That's just a listing of the SoundCloud program as is. I'm asking for the chronological order of the tracks.

So far all I know is that 15 Look Closer is the opening cue and 03 Spoon Bender is the next cue

I tried figuring out the chrono order while watching the film last night. It's very complicated because it seems the film was massively re-edited after scoring (there's two cuts of the film available plus a ton of deleted scenes on the blu ray). It seems like they took Brian's cues and chopped them up and put different pieces in different places at times. Also it could be that Tyler purposely recorded extended versions for album use that were never intended to be in the film, its hard to tell!

The SoundCloud program is clearly a meticulously designed album program and not just a dump of the recording sessions; Besides the fact that its wildly out of film order, there's a ton of music in the film not in the program, and there's a ton of music in the SoundCloud program not in the film. Also many tracks have music from different parts of the film stitched together. Due to the re-editing of the film it seems a lot of his music got dropped.

This is all I could come up with on first pass

Film Cues
15 Look Closer (3:27)
05 Spoon Bender (2:57)
10 Strange Invitations (1:44)
17A [0:00-2:24] Holograms
14 Etienne (3:22)
01 Now You See Me (2:02)
02 The Team (2:45)
18 The Mystery of Thaddeus (2:06)
20 Transparency (5:14)
11 The Show Begins (2:53)
17B [2:24-end] Holograms
06 Battle of the Cards (4:48)
12 Bridge Pursuit (3:24)
8B [3:25-end] Breeze
23 Misdirection (2:27)
03 Opus NYSM (2:28)
9B [1:18-end] Times Square
9A [0:00-1:18] Times Square
24 Piecing it Together (4:17)
25 Paris Epilogue-End Credits (6:58)
22 Jellyjam (1:51)

Unknown
07 Revelation (1:24)
8A [0:00-3:27] Breeze
13 Intrigue (2:22)
16 Something Far Bigger (Striking Back) (2:42)
19 Strut (1:56)
21 Suspicion Rising (4:44)

Not needed:
04 Chess Moves (3:56) - This is literally identical to "Piecing It Together", except 20 seconds have been removed at the 1:18 mark. How odd!

I'd love it if someone with access to the sheets or sessions could help us figure out the ins and outs of the SoundCloud program!

This is identical to "Piecing It Together", except 20 seconds have been removed around the one minute mark. How odd!

If you think that's odd, you haven't looked into majority of his other albums.

Strut is unused.

Suspicion Rising = Opus NYSM (shorterned, no beginning) + cue from another scene, don't remember which one.

Breeze playes IIRC during chase at New Orleans show.

You're completely right, I've never looked into any of his other albums; This is far and away my favorite Tyler score. Anyways, that's why I need the help!

Yes, 3:35-end of "Breeze" plays at the New Orleans show, but the first 3 1/2 minutes of track has nothing to do with that scene.

Strut is unused, yes, but what was it written for? A deleted scene? A scene that is in the film but they went with tracked music instead? Just for album use?

Thanks for the tip about Suspicion Rising!

I found this order on another site that claims to have had Brian Tyler's input, but its clearly not completely accurate, at least in regards to the final finished film. But maybe it gives clues to where some of the unused music was meant to go.

15 Look Closer
02 The Team
05 Spoon Bender
10 Strange Invitations
17 Holograms
14 Etienne
01 Now You See Me
19 Strut
04 Chess Moves
18 The Mystery of Thaddeus
20 Transparency
16 Something Far Bigger (Striking Back)
11 The Show Begins
08 Breeze
21 Suspicion Rising
06 Battle of the Cards
12 Bridge Pursuit
13 Intrigue
22 Jellyjam
23 Misdirection
03 Opus NYSM
09 Times Square
07 Revelation
24 Piecing it Together
25 Paris Epilogue / End Credits

And this information from the same place, which partially contradicts above:

"Chess Moves" - louder and edited version of "Piecing It Together"
"Opus NYSM" - edited cue that is already in "Suspicion Rising"
"Jellyjam" - alternate of "Strange Invitations"

It's been years since I deconstructed the promo and official album for my compilation. I'll try to help you, but I need to dig up the movie first.
