Cool, thanks for the info guys. Score sounds good so far. Unquestionably Giacchino's voice, but it sounds like an evolution from Doyle's fairly tonal score to the first film towards the more barbaric scores that characterized the original apes films.

It does seem like it will mesh with both Doyle's score and the scores in the past.
I also thought it was strange Varese isn't getting as many deals with Sony anymore... I kind of liked the continuity of CD spines on my shelf, but that's a small matter.

Sounds pretty good, though it reminds me quite a bit of his music for Lost. The choral material was quite unexpected!

That sounds wonderful. Tough and sensitive, with the typical Giacchino-touch. Love it!

The album cover design looks alright. I can tell Varese wasn't involved with this one. I'm very much looking forward to the film and score regardless.

That poster is the only reason I'd ever want to see this movie. What a great poster.

That poster is the only reason I'd ever want to see this movie.

That's still one more reason than I could come up with not involving Michael Giacchino (it's been more than 40 years since the last good movie* with "Planet Of The Apes" in the title came out).

*Escape From The....

But Rise of the Planet of the Apes came out just three years ago! And it's really good at that.

For all the blurb it looks like a reboot of Battle For The Planet Of The Apes.

No, no... I think that Caesar posing for what looks like his driver's license photo is a much stronger alternative.

They have gone all out on the track titles. Cheesy but enjoyable as always.
