Interestingly (well, if you're into this kind of thing ) all the samples appear to be a slightly higher quality 16/48kHz instead of the more usual 16/44.1.
Assume this was done for internet puposes, rather than a process prior to being converted down to 16/44.1 for CD use? These days I'm sure most stuff is directly converted to 16/44.1 from high-res files. I think 16/48 was a hangover from the DAT mastering era...
Whatever the reason, GREAT sounding samples. Looking forward to hearing the full lossless CDs in all their sonic glory when they finally arrive
Ouch! Just for that I've decided in my will to leave my collections to you. And I've even arranged a special delivery. Just listen for a scratching at your window...
Just make sure you close the window after you leave.
Does this mean that perhaps Salem`s Lot will make an appearance on BluRay? I did a search... I`ve never seen this, although I vaguely recall David Soul doing some vampire-killing in the briefest of snippets from long ago, and I`ve heard very good things about it from everyone.
I might get this score too. Kind of Night Stalker`ish.

You should check out the tv movie, I hope it will get a blu-ray release along with Warner's other King tv titles such as It and The Stand. But Salem's Lot could benefit the most from an upgrade.
I received mine today (LA County). Have already spun both disks. I had not heard any of it since watching the original on TV so long ago. It very fun - to me it harks back in a lot of parts to old Universal horror days. Sound quality is excellent. Definitely recommended. Would be fun to have playing on 10/31!

Can you say correct track-list for Disc 2? Intrada's site missed track 13 on it, and it's not quiet clear - this CD have 43 tracks (and this means that track 14=13, 15=14 etc.), or 44 (and this means that one track-title is missed on official CD page)? Thanks a lot.
It is just a site listing error. CD2 trk 13 is a short 24 sec cue "Mr. Barlow". It is listed on CD back, assembly listing in booklet and is on CD....which is 44 trks.

OH NO! I hope this isn't going to become a habitual occurrence.
If they are hand-assembled, I assume it was just an accidental omission by someone trying to get them in the mail asap. And I had no doubts about getting a replacement - got an email about it already . I wasnt trying to scare anyone from buying the release, and with their awesome customer service, just the opposite.
Edit: Got the disc couple days later with a pristine booklet. Definitely a must for any 70s horror ost fan!

Thanks Last Child - I just got my shipping notice this morning, I CAN'T WAIT
Disc One did not play at all in my Bose system. The same thing happened on Battlestar Vol 3 last summer. I wonder what plant Intrada uses? This kind of stuff happens a lot with them. HOWEVER, the customer service there is NUMBER 1. So no problems in the long run.
As for what I did hear, I am really appreciating the mastering jobs that occur on these releases. The way 'SALEM'S LOT sounds it's like it's like the orchestra is right in front of me. Truly beautiful sound.
