I just received my copy of this CD -- and haven't seen any reports yet on it. So...the album material sounds immaculate -- crisp, detailed, nice stereo spread, fullsome -- like it was recorded yesterday. I don't have the previous CD for comparison -- but the stereo, rerecorded stuff, to my ears sounds marvelous. As does the mono original track portion of the album -- I only had time to sample a few cues but was very pleased with what I heard -- clear, no distortion in the tracks I sampled. A great job all round. Listening to this reminded me again of all the great comedy scores by Williams -- he always managed to ground the comedy in a way that the films seemed somehow "meatier" if you know what I mean. Thanks for this release. My Fitzwilly lp recently went away along with most of my lp collection -- donated to a cousin -- so this was great to receive t his score in such a great package -- liner notes, design, are all superb. Thanks! NOTE: Per below comment, I had not seen the other thread -- there is no need to bump this one again -- so I refer folks to that thread which has many interesting comments on the score, etc. --John
