Incredible as it may seem, I am listening to the Colombier disc in full..razz

Not that incredible. The Colombier score is great as is, but only if one isn't expecting a Barry knock off. It has to be judged on it's own merits and it that respect, Colombier did a fine job as usual (and I would have expected no less of him).

Incredible for me. It's not the type of score I would regularly listen to. I didn't like it. But I'm sure glad you do.

I was visiting my V-W albums and found this to listen to over the weekend:

The violin playing is delightful here, which is normal IMO having Hilary Hahn for the solo parts.

Then I listened to my first Kaper getting a complete listen:

Moving to:

And right now:

The film was aired on TV this Xmas and I was happy to revisit the score within context before listening to it.

@ Mr. Jack.

How do ou like McQ? It wasn't the easiest fit for me at first, but it was well worth the time invested. A great Bernstein IMHO.

I love it...a perfect of mix of "The Duke" swagger and 70's Schifrin/Dirty Harry licks. Plenty of great nuggets in that score.
