johnbijl : Re: "That depends on how you behave." Precisely. It's when some use the anonymity to cloak their sometimes negative objectives. Luckily there's a staff here who aren't afraid to step on a few toes when any of us cross the line, so there's probably no need to breach the anonymity some here seem to feel they require. But this is really a pointless discussion, because we know it's not going to change.

Other than that, you'll have to go to Senn555's profile on here and look it up on his Nixon-style list of enemies. LOL, I am on that list too. I have been told that I might want to get a lawyer since I am being falsely accused and since he has posted that on a public forum I might have a case. Are there any lawyers here? Would I have a case? I have made pictures of what he has posted, so I do have record if he ever takes it down. This is one of the bad things about posting your real name here.

>>>>>Shouldn't we be using our real names here?>>>>>>>> Moreover... Shouldn't we be discussing this on the non-score side?? It has NOTHING to do with film music discussion!

VP: Re: "Shouldn't we be discussing this on the non-score side?? It has NOTHING to do with film music discussion! Of course! But it's a losing battle trying to keep members from posting NON film music discussions here.

There are far too many people who inhabit boards like this one who are just off-balance enough to extend their unhealthy mental state to actual real-life harrassment. People keep saying that but has there been one instance where this happened? I personally haven't witnessed it on any of the boards I've been on. There are people on here who might come across as off-balance, but aside from the odd personal 'online' attack via this forum, I have not known of people actually taking it to real-life harrassment. Not saying it can't happen, just thinking such an escalation would be extremely rare? Apparently you haven't been keeping up because I can tell you that I have a stalker who follows me from board to board, including this one, where she posted under at least two different names until being ousted a few weeks ago. I'd say given her behavior here and elsewhere that there's some sort of unhealthy mental state and even though it's limited to the Internet, it would certainly be called real-life harassment.

My daughter was bullied in grammar school, middle school and high school. She is a very smart, quiet lovable kid who has always stood out for her academic prowess but also for her quiet vulnerable nature. My husband and I have always been her biggest advocates and never hesitated to step in when she was young. However, it became more difficult as she got older because the bullies got sneakier. In the days of MySpace, I happened upon a cruel, blistering comment on a public account. Seems the ignoramus who posted it didn't realize people could see it. I was able to pull some strings and get this a@#hole to remove the comment and my daughter does not know it existed to this day. After all this, my daughter wanted to create a Facebook page and I cringed thinking about the bullies out there. She has created one, posts on it frequently and as far as I know, has no issues. She is an adult now and must fight her own battles. How sad though that anyone has to worry about stalkers, bullies and weirdos. I give this kid so much credit for basically giving the finger to the losers who used to make her miserable. One satisying irony is that one of the main tormentors was Valedictorian of her class, went to an Ivy league school but now sits on her butt, unemployed. Just had to add that. I do not have a Facebook page because I value my privacy (I have a nosy family) but more power to those who do and wish to use their true names here. If my daughter posted here, she would use her name I am sure. What a kid!

My name is known by those on this board that know me through Facebook. Which is quite a few of you, come to think of it. Other than that, you'll have to go to Senn555's profile on here and look it up on his Nixon-style list of enemies. "We have enough Jack Nicholsons on this board; we don't need a William Devane." You do realize that when you and a bunch of your buddies decide it's wise to gang up on someone whom you deem as lesser than you just because they actively enjoy something you don't*, that you shouldn't be at all surprised when the victim decides to take action when exhausting all other options fails? Neither Lukas nor David gives a damn about banning "established" members of the board anymore (even temporary as a means of doing SOMETHING more than a mere slap on the wrist) - even when they've shown how particularly nasty they can get. Case in point, when you (Justin Bielawa), John Jacob Hinrichs (JJH), Shaun Rutherford, and Khan (Michael Lyons) decided to completely shit all over the first MLP thread I had made, when any reasonable, rational human being would determine that someone else liking something that they don't does not negatively affect or worsen their lifestyle in any manner whatsoever, therefore all the vitriol - and among other things, John comparing my choice of interest as "bordering on pedophilial in nature" and posting a picture mocking the disabled - was completely unnecessary and was ALSO bullying and harassment. Do you *really* think I'm going to just brush that aside, forget about it two and a half years after the fact, and allow such actions to happen to me without consequence? It's incredibly naive and short-sighted if you do. (and anyone who thinks that having the victim's thread locked *without* any further action taken against the bullies serves as enough "consequence" is severely out of touch with reality) When you and your friends commit such actions against me, *of course* I'm going to out the lot of you and post your real names out for the public to see. Because when you refuse to take responsibility, refuse to approach those whom you victimize and say "I'm sorry, what I did was wrong and I'll do my best not to do it again" - what else is the victim supposed to do? In this entire message board's history, when after 12 or 13 years of so much BS fighting has happened between members and it's become so much of a common occurrence that not even the board administration gives a rat's ass anymore, that's a really sad development that has occurred, and it achieves nothing but create a damaging environment to be around. If other victims want to just walk away and leave FSM, never having to deal with people such as yourself again (and I *know* people who have left this board because of you, Justin), that's their prerogative; but you messed with the wrong person, and I'm not going to step aside just to allow it to happen to me. Now, obviously you take offense (aka: you're butthurt) to having your real name posted out in public. Why *anyone* would be upset over their real name being exposed, I don't understand; shouldn't that be expected as part of the terms and conditions of logging on to the internet, being such a public, easily accessible environment and all? Is it because you feel ashamed that your parents chose your name now because it so closely resembles that of Justin Bieber, or something? I don't know. So now that I've presented my argument and defended my character (and also proving how right I am), let's all listen to some more of your pseudo-intellectual jargon on how posting a public Facebook listing of people who do not deserve to be respected because they're bullies (backing it up with reasons and actual evidence! Oh my!) is somehow "wrong". Or you could be a better man and apologize to me for your wrongdoings, and never speak to me or direct ire in my direction again. Then I'll at least erase your entry from the list. But I'd rather not hear more of your hypocritical, pseudo-intellectual preaching, because I've got far better things to do† than sit on my butt at the PC all day to converse with a particular group of people, 90% of whom I don't like and would kindly prefer not to ever approach me IRL. †Such as working my three jobs, and sitting on my butt at the PC to watch cartoons and extract/share music from said cartoons, that no one at this board would ever pay attention to or hear about otherwise. Oh, and because I've now reported your post and I hope this thread gets locked before you can reply back in time. * Speaking of "actively enjoy something you don't" - need I remind everyone that your open-mindedness towards My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic amounted to watching only the first two episodes of the show (out of 67 and counting (which is akin to shutting off a two-and-a-half hour movie after only watching the first five minutes)), then cowardly escaping to another message board to blow up in a fit of rage, describing the show as "borderline racism" (???) and "a fucking offense to art", and describing its fans as "closeted bigots" and "keg-gut weirdo virgin fanboys", with "patchy neckbeards" and "swollen Taco Bell guts"? Oops, I just did. Yeah, that was one of your crowning achievements of intelligent insight (to go along with.... THIS, apparently: https://twitter.com/LeHah/status/396340762121879552), which I can only presume you posted solely as a means of defending your macho masculinity. Meanwhile, some other person elsewhere on the internet is saying exactly the same thing about Star Wars, Star Trek, Wing Commander, or anything else you're interested in.
