TO BATRAC- Glad you mention FULL CIRCLE- COLIN TOWNS-Fine score that works wonders during the haunting tragic ending of the film. Good music as well by itself, had the LP for yours.
Beau Père by Phillipe Sarde. While Sarde is not unknown or obscure around these parts, this score probably is. The entire soundtrack consists of variations on a one (beautiful) theme reflecting the state of mind of the titular character, a cocktail lounge pianist.
This particular cue is titled 'Grosse Déprime'. Both melancholy and sad, never has depression sounded so good.
BTW - This is a great thread edwzoomom. So nice to discover new music in friendly and convivial environment. Thanks.
You are most welcome. The titles members have provided have been wonderful and have brought me to some new "gems". Keep them coming everyone.
Hope Floats - The Score - Grusin For the Boys - VA - all vocals but lots of fun if you love the Divine Miss M Running Free - Nicola Piovani Music Box - Philippe Sarde King of the Wind - John Scott American Classics - Morton Gould - wonderful selection of Gould's work Tucker, A Man and His Dream - Joe Jackson Carrington - Michael Nyman Picture Bride - Mark Adler Cousins - Badalamenti - finally found a new copy
I realize some of these are certainly not unknown to many of you. Some were barely known to me but are very much an important part of my collection now.

I pulled something out of my CD collection today that I have had since around 2000 but never played. I listened to the entire CD and it was wonderful. "THE AVENGERS" by JOEL MCNEELY. I should have played it many years ago ! The film was a mess and tanked, but McNeely wrote some great music ! An underrated effort by an underrated composer. It is going to be played many times !
The film was indeed a mess (cool poster though!), but the question I have is whether on not the CD has the cue for when Peel & Steed descend into Wynter's lair in the film's finale? That was a really catchy track
...also two I found out about a couple of days ago
Live Wire (1992) & Nightmares (1983) both by Craig Safan
Gabriel Yared wrote a masterful score for a documentary in 1992. I purchased the cd then, based on a film magazine review which talked of a masterpiece and gave the ost 5 out of 5 stars.
I´d like to recommend something I have enjoyed greatly for few years now, that is, Paul K. Joyce´s The Snow Queen. Joyce, a wonderful British composer, wrote it to a very stylized 2005 one-hour BBC film based on H. C. Andersen´s fairy tale. It is a musical of sort and the songs are mostly performed by child actors and choir and they are truly enchanting and haunting.
The CD was released with classic poetry reading which is recited by beautiful-voiced Juliet Stevenson and it enhances the listening experience tremendously. Everyone interested should listen the samples from Amazon. Meanwhile here is one of the touching songs from the film (the CD contains slightly different version, mainly considering the poetry reading):
Thank you Kari. Thank you as well for adding this lovely score to the list. I listened to a few selections on Amazon and was very impressed. Please continue to add to the list. It benefits all of us.

FULL CIRCLE is a great score. I bought the LP years ago and was thrilled until I realized that most of the tracks were rerecordings, a nice album to be sure, but I would love to see a release of the original film tracks one day...especially to be able to hear the main titles away from the film finally!
