GNP? Don't you mean Varèse? Varèse issued the OST (which is still available), not GNP. Yup. You're right. I meant Varèse. Brain cramp. What's wrong with the cover from the original poster of this thread? Nothing in particular. I just prefer 1500x1500. Personal preference. I don't think it will be issued any higher size. Someone would have to do a high res scan of the main cover once people get their copies. No doubt, this explains the shoddy larger "scans" available at albumartexchange.com.

I'm going to play "Star Trek: Nemesis" tomorrow and pay special attention to Goldsmith's music and try to decide if I want to buy the soundtrack.

The timings for the "End Credits" are correct. Disc 1 begins with the film version intro and continues with an extension created by Goldsmith to accommodate the length of the credits. (In the end it needed to be even longer than that, so they ended up taking care of it editorially and some of this was unheard). The disc 2 version is Goldsmith's original end credits piece but with the alternate opening. Neither of these is what is on the original album. As with GNP's release of Insurrection, there are some tracks that are unique to the original release of Nemesis, so completists should hold on to them. Apart from the End Credits issue, it's a matter of "album mixes" vs. "film mixes." Mike OK, so if I take the tracks labeled 'alternate mixes' and fold them into the album from 2002, is that supposed to make up the complete score in a 'live mix'? There seems to be a fair amount of music not presented in it's 'live mix' version.

Nemesis has always been my least favorite ST score - but with the new complete version I can finally appreciate its greatness.

There seems to be a fair amount of music not presented in it's 'live mix' version. I suspect that a lot of the score was remixed, but not every cue, so it may be that there is little to nothing outside the alternates mixes presented and the OST that would be different. In theory, I would guess that using the Alternate Mix tracks from the DE, and the OST versions of the tracks, instead of the film mix equivalents, may provide the complete "live mix" version of the score. Aside from the album end credits, I personally have no need for the OST beyond being absolutely complete. Unfortunately, my OST for Nemesis gave up the ghost, however with this release, I have the film mixes of all the cues, so don't personally miss the OST. IMHO, this is an excellent release, and to my reckoning, closes the book on these scores.
