I would love a remastered and expanded MR. DESTINY although I know it won`t be it.

Because clearly EVERYONE wants what you want and NO ONE wants anything else. No, I'm not saying that at all, but think of it this way: The Varese Club only puts something out a few times a year these days. Traditionally, the Club has existed to release titles that are either expensive to produce or which Bob Townson believes have limited commercial appeal outside of the fervid soundtrack collector base (or, in many cases, both). This has allowed them to dig up a lot of obscure holy grail titles, clean them up as best they can, and put out some nice albums, knowing that even 1000 copies might be tough to sell. Often, these albums will be greeted with comments on this board such as, "wow, I first saw that movie when I was 14 and I desperately wanted _that one cue_.... and now we've got it!" That, I believe, is the best of what the VCL does. For me, when there's an announcement that another batch is on the way, it's a very exciting time, and I love reading all the speculation. It's an opportunity for Varese to either expand something that could really use it or to even find some legal way to get out an all-new release of some forgotten gem of the past that no one really anticipated (like THE LIST THE ADRIAN MESSENGER the other year). If you look at all that, I would say that a mere expansion of a something that was only out a couple years ago (and which frankly didn't distinguish itself from it predecessor that significantly in the first place), is a severely wasted opportunity. I don't have a problem with anyone who wants more STAR TREK: INTO DARKNESS (even though I likely wouldn't buy it myself), but this is magic ticket time: Varese is working on whatever these releases might be _right now_, and they could be ANYTHING from soundtrack past. Don't you hope they come up with something a little more interesting?

I saw a couple of used copies of Supergirl at Amoeba records yesterday. Yeah, that is not one of Varese's titles. Someone else is doing that. James Really? What report are you following?

I would love a remastered and expanded MR. DESTINY although I know it won`t be it. I had the movie on ahem VHS. I believe there was about 5-7 of unreleased music. Great score indeed. I believe the last track was supposed to be the closing credits but it was replaced by a song. Actually the first track is the unused end credit cue. There isn`t that much of unreleased music in the film but it`s a bit more than 5 - 7 minutes. My guess it`s around 15 minutes. But the unreleased stuff is great. And the score really could use a remastering.

I saw a couple of used copies of Supergirl at Amoeba records yesterday. What version? If Varese's early release, I'd love to get a copy of that one. Called Amoeba from NYC today. Nice guy over the telephone checked the bin in question. They got sold. :-(
