Hey, it's got 6 bids! I want to see just how high someone is willing to pay...

Me, too. Maybe I'll just say sold out on the next LE and sell 'em all on eBay for fifty bucks!!! smile

Now, why hasn't anyone guessed what our next limited edition soundtrack is? The next LE, which will be announced in about a week and a half isn't a soundtrack, although it is by a film composer. But the LE after that, probably announced the second week of April IS a soundtrack. Let the guessing begin! smile

Clew one: The music was featured in a movie.

Henry Mancini?

My copy of Man From Rio arrived today along with Evening Primrose and Anya. Evening Ptimrose is a fine Sondheim score/musical. Highly recommended. Man From Rio may have to wait until tomorrow. Bruce, thanks again for your recent releases.

Henry Mancini?

A fine guess - but incorrect.

Grab it now because there's currently a copy on eBay going for over fifty bucks.

Ohh I see about "enough supply".
Yep, already grabbed when it first came out, but thanks for the tip Bruce! wink

Last time I looked here we had an enticing possibility of Andre Previn's expanded TWO FOR THE SEESAW, did I dream that?

Sure would entice ME. And my comments about the troublemaker or troublemakers who tried unsuccessfully to raise a ruckus over Rio - where's that? Those people are STILL trying to remove their collective feet from their collective mouths. I have one word for them - and I'll say it in English: Karma.

I remember vaguely that the day after tomorrow will be Illya's day. You know, she doesn't work on Sundayswink

The next soundtrack announcement should be in a week or two.

I was actually asking about Illya since many of the posts mentioning it got deleted by the Message Muncher That Ate Cleveland

Ah. Illya Darling, the musical of Never On Sunday, should be "live" at Kritzerland sometime Monday - I'll post the announcement here as soon as it is.

Thanks Bruce, looks like you and the folks at Intrada will keep me busy on Monday.

All of those posts vanished from sight! Let's face it, Dr. William Axt just can't catch a break!

All those great William Axt jokes gone with the wind. Or is that a Max Steiner joke.

I hope I'm not stealing the show here if I'm saying that Illya may be "hired" from Kritzerland now:

http://www.kritzerland.com/Ilya.html

Here's hoping that she will eventually turn up on SAE as well...

This is the kind of Delerue release we'd expect from Taylor White & Percepto.

Congrats Bruce on another great release!

Someday, after everyone's got their CD, I'll tell a little story about this.

Did you ever get around to telling that story?

It's also interesting to note that the Delerue site never made any mention of this release, though they mentioned all the Intradas and other legitimate releases....

That's because the Delerue site somehow thought they were "entitled" to own this. I was sent two really annoying letters "demanding" to know why I thought I could put this out as someone in France controlled the rights. I thought it was quite amusing, and wrote back and suggested to them they contact the actual rights holders with whom I had a signed contract and from whom I'd gotten the tapes. I then forwarded their e-mail directly to MGM and the person there had a rather strong conversation with them - that was the last we heard from them, needless to say. Just because you're the estate of a composer does not mean you own the rights to a title. They know that now smile
