Mission: Impossible on the other hand was written and if you know the two scores [M:I + Eraser], you know the similarities. Yes, Silvestri makes it clear in the interview that nothing was actually written for Pirates (which I'd heard already), but the "cocktail party conversation" analogy he makes I thought was appropriate enough.    Posted:   Mar 25, 2010 - 12:43 AM     By:   Talos   (Member) I have the old Dragonslayer album, I find it a very difficult atonal-avant-garde like composition. Its definetly not an easy listen experience. I do appreciate this type of score/approach though. Its something you have to discover after a few repeat listenings. I must say in those days studios had more sense / balls. Now they just hire some MV guy. The sound is superb and while it's not my favorite Alex score, it's really good and a must for any North fan. The music has never sounded better. I just can't get over how amazing this release sounds. Listening to it through headphones, I feel like I'm sitting in the recording studio. Such a unique and powerful score, too.
