I wonder if La-La Land could release expanded editions of Alien 3 or Alien Resurrection. Alien 3 was an MCA album but Resurrection was RCA Victor (now Sony...?).

Just thinking out loud. smile They're not high on the priority list for me but I'd still pick them up in a heartbeat.

ME TOO!!

ALIEN 3 expanded has long held a spot in my top 10 most wanted list.

Can't wait for THE EDGE!!!

And what about Batman & Robin? It was a WB movie.

Well, MV said in another thread that he wouldn't rest until every Batman score is out under the LLL label (or words to that effect - I know I didn't make that up!).

On the other hand, dealings with WB appear to have changed recently so I have no idea what's going on one way or the other.

Here is Les Baxter credits on IMDB:

I'm hoping the Baxter score is X--THE MAN WITH THE X-RAY EYES, which they have hinted at in the past.

Don't forget MV Gerhard mentioned they had a release coming that features the rejected score along with the final one used.

Quite a few of us are hoping it's Wolfen. wink

How about Young Guns. Remember James Horner wrote a complete score to this as well to the final one used by Anthony Marinelli and Brian Banks.

The other one would be Breakdown by Poledouris. Both scores aren't that disimilar to one another though.

I hope it's Wolfen too!

Mission: Impossible is also a possibility. While it would be cool to get Alan Silvestri's rejected score on CD, I don't know how much more Elfman music exists that isn't already on the official album.

Where does MV say that a silvestri title is coming?

If this is indeed the case, it must be a complete judge dredd as a part of their archival re-issues series.

Well, everyone who got his hopes up for another silvestri might want to count predators as a quasi-silvestri release wink

Anyway ... BATMAN & ROBIN from Goldenthal would be great ...

Since we have now the Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams I can only think in Michael Kamen.
I will change my guess to X-MEN expanded. It's a Fox film just like ID4 and SPEED 2.

"MV : a lot of of great scores will be released this year, from Jerry Goldsmith, Michael Kamen, Danny Elfman, Les Baxter and John Williams and other marvelous composers."

That doesn't necessarily mean there will only be one Williams and one Goldsmith release, right?
Or did I miss something?

Thinking along the lines of X-Men - could it be possible that LLL will be giving us the complete film score and Kamen's rejected score?

True, but I wouldn't count on it.

Hmmm. That could be great If more John Williams and more Jerry Goldsmith. I was researching for some Fox films and here what La-La Land could release from both JW and JG:
BAD GIRLS
CHAIN REACTION - If Varese doesn't own it perpetually...
SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY
HOME ALONE

I Didn't know X-Men had a rejected score. So it could be a 2 cd set anyway wink

It may not have been a full rejected score, but I know Kamen had to re-write a lot of his original material and basically added more electronic elements.

That was also something else I wanted to say - a request to MV. Is there any chance LLL can work on getting more music from the Scream films out? I find them to be Beltrami's best work, but not all that much music is officially out. Is it possible, or do the rights lie with Varese?

If I recall as well, Kamen didn't add the electronic elements; I think Badelt did.
