never buy in a hurry! This is an average level score and it's not such important.
Besides it's a too recent movie and it doesn't make sense that Varese doesn't exploit the Giachino's fame.
Read my lips (I wish you could..) there will be a 2nd edition soon (I can see the future). Lorenz
There won't be another edition if Varese holds the album release rights in perpetuity. Plus the cost of renegotiating licensing fees, printing and pressing discs for such a set are enormous, so it's not likely we'll ever see another complete edition of this score.
FSM's experience offering a second run of the Blue Box might influence Varese in this matter.
If Blue Box 2 sold well, then STDE-2 might be coming. But I haven't seen any reports on that subject whatsoever. For some reason I have the idea that BB-2 and THE OMEGA MAN 2.0 did not sell well.

FSM stated from the outset that the Superman box was not limited, and could be repressed if sales warranted, which they did. Not sure how that applies to "Star Trek."
I don't think one has anything to do with the other.
Maybe not, but businesses need to look for some kind of guide as to how their markets behave, and the Blue Box getting a second run is a pretty fair analogy.

The analogy is not sound; you're comparing a set composed primarily of scores recorded in London with a cost-prohibitive Los Angeles recording.

Lukas did note, in some thread, at some point, that Omega Man 2.0 wasn't exactly flying off the shelves. But ... maybe it's a steady catalog seller.
