I suppose my question involving those wierd public domain DVD covers-Why the hell would you give Mark Hamill an afro? I suppose, by the same token, why not?
I've got the laserdisc version, which has a cover similar to the CD. This laserdisc was probably the source for many of the DVD versions. There was also a Japanese laserdisc that had the film letterboxed at 1.75:1.
Someone is obviously paying attention to the news of this score. Not soon after the Danny Gonzalez (ugh) annoucement, this popped up on YouTube.
[sigh] And then the film came out and grossed less than what some of my friends owe on their student loans. You can't say they didn't try.
I see that the video was narrated by Richard LeParmentier. I was expecting a line like, "This slipstream is now the ultimate power in the universe! I suggest we use it!"

LOL. I love how the soundtrack release is making people really curious about this movie. I would love if that happened for Frankenstein Unbound as well. That is a very under-appreciated little film with a great score.

Strangely enough, I've held onto my LD copy all these years. It's not a great movie, but it's still the best home video version available.
I just rec'd an e-mail thanking me for my Slipstream order but it seems odd since I did my pre-order last week? I guess their e-mail system sent out another Thank you e-mail.
I wasn't expecting it to ship till next week but I'm not complaining. Between this, the Elfman/Burton set, and (most likely) LLL's Medal of Honor set, it looks like April is gonna be a great month!
