Btw, is Alan Silvestri's score for SHATTERED (1991) on your radar?
Wonderful score with a very memorable and haunting main theme.
Fun little thriller to boot!

That's already been released by Milan Records - though I suppose a re-mastering wouldn't hurt!

Yes, I know. I have that cd, and while there is nothing wrong with the
sound quality, I think there is more music in the film that could be released.

The Berlin Affair will be shipping Tuesday morning. And don't forget to be here Monday at six for our new release announcement.

Jolly good.

This was my first time ordering direct from Kritzerland, for this CD togther with some earlier titles.

Can I expect to receive a shipping email?

Correct - we're simply not set up to do so, which is why I come and post here about when they're shipping. The only thing we always know is that preordered discs ship about four weeks prior to their official ship date, usually within a couple of weeks of the announcement.

Received mine and have just completed an audition.

A superb Donaggio CD. Wonderfully rich orchestral romance and drama. No noisy or explosive punctuations, but a beautifully crafted, moody and flowing listen from beginning to end (well, apart from the bonus song at the end which is a bit feeble). Very pleased with this one.

Of course. All preorders were mailed last Tuesday. Anything ordered after that date would always ship within a day or two. And happily with our new system all US packages have tracking numbers.

Just got mine today and thought I should share the high res scan for those who want it. I added some darkening and coloration to counteract the way my scanner doesn't pick up the black completely.

I am a person who loves scores of the 50's and 60's primarily. I'm not into action or horror scores. I love melody. I took a chance on THE BERLIN AFFAIR based only on sound clips. It is one of my favorite acquisitions in the last year. It is simply MAGNIFICENT.

It's very gratifying to find smart folks who take chances and then are happy they did. As I've said, this is one of Pino's favorites of his stuff, and he was so happy it was getting done. Hopefully others will take the chance based on the reaction the CD is getting - while the getting is good.

I echo the kudos on this disc. It may be the favorite of my small selection of Pino's scores as well. For those that don't have this score. It is worth buying and listening. No sonic wallpaper in this score.

In my initial few listens, it isn't grabbing me, seems to be a lot of underscore. But I will go back to it in a day or two and see if it grows on me.

EDIT: Ok I changed my mind. Really there are only two or three cues that feel unnecessary but otherwise there is a lot of great melody.

I forgot to post when I got the CD, but it is just great. The score is beautiful and very moving. Also, the sound quality and the cover art of this release are superb. Well done, Bruce!

Thanks! Got a really nice e-mail this very morning from Pino, who was very pleased with the CD.

Sorry, just listening to this for the first time. GORGEOUS!

I miss Pino ... but he is working with De Palma again! Joy, joy.

This dark, beautiful, sensuous score can be had from Screen Archives for less than 10 dollars!!!
In fact, couple it with the equally wonderful ORDEAL BY INNOCENCE - also by Pino, also from Kritzerland - and both can be had for less than the original price of one!!
As a huge Pino fan, I had no problem paying full whack for them upon release, but anyone who doesn't have them and likes Pino's music...well, Christmas just came early!! smile
