I have signatures by some of these guys from various events.

Michael Giacchino (Star Trek, Star Trek: DE, UP, Incredibles, Let Me In)
Alan Sylvestri (Predator, Back to the Future (Intrada), Young Guns II, Forest Gump)
Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: TMP - 20th Anniversary Edition)
Bear McCreary (All of his BSG scores, except Caprica Season 1)
Cliff Eidelman (Star Trek VI (Both OST and Intrada releases), Big Miracle)
Brian Tyler (Children of Dune)
Stu Phillips (BSG - Pilot (Varese), BSG - Pilot (Intrada))
Christopher Lennertz (Medal of Honor Soundtrack Collection)
Cliff Martinez (Traffic)
Christopher Young (Urban Legend promo, The Fly II, Species)
Craig Safan (The Last Starfighter, Remo: Unarmed and Dangerous)

and a fair few others I can't think of at the moment.

I would LOVE to have James Horner sign his Star Trek scores, but he's a very reclusive man by all accounts.

I would LOVE to have James Horner sign his Star Trek scores, but he's a very reclusive man by all accounts.

Actually when you get closer to him and play by the rules, he is a very nice and kind and he would be probably still signing stuff for all the people that were trying to reach him in Vienna, but the problem were the organizers who immediately started pushing him away. Even his bodyguards were more friendly than that.

Obviously he is quite shy and timid and not too fond of big crowds pushing towards him and likes to protect his own privacy, but who could blame him? Especially considering what some asshole did as soon as he entered the concert hall, but I still think that it might had been some sort of cunning plan to keep the bodyguards busy while some other guy got something quickly signed in the meantime (the only person that got lucky before the 2nd concert).

If you can get to something where he is scheduled to appear, get some good place there and nobody won't be pushing him away, your chances should be actually pretty good to get something signed by him. Hopefully after such a great success (and considering how much pleased he was with the concert) in Vienna he will do more of these in the future.

What happened at the concert hall? Was it just as he entered the concert house from the blue carpet session? I noticed his bodyguards seemed to rush him along after he got inside, but didn't notice anything special happening beforehand.

Would've been great to get an autograph, but the concert was so good that it really didn't matter that much that I didn't get one.

Myself and a couple friends managed to snag Zimmer before the Varese concert last time. He was nervous but I kept him talking. Next thing we knew all our stuff was signed and we wished him well for the concert and went on. smile

I was there. Horner gave a lengthy "official" interview to the ORF (Austrian Network TV) which was covering the event, and once that was done, he walked straight into the concert hall, surrounded by two bodyguards, ignoring all the fans on the sidelines calling his name...

Luckily I got to meet him at the symposium and got an autograph there. For people who came only to the concert, it was virtually impossible.

Well, it wasn't all that happened. I was standing right next to the door and when he entered I asked him if he could sign anything and he politely responded that he can't and appologized because he was already late (blame the organizers who simply couldnt get him there in time or reserve at least a few minutes for some more official signing during the symposium, which he would be most likely quite willing to do if the lack of organization wouldn't result in such a mess). Then some asshole started yelling at him jumped through the crowd that was waiting there for him and started pushing towards him through the crowd and his bodyguards, who immediately started to make some more space for Horner so he could actually walk through. While they were "fighting" with this crazy asshole someone else quickly approached him from the other side of the aisle and got some sheet music autographed. And then they all just vanished. Seriously I have no idea what happened but Horner and his bodyguards were gone in like 2 seconds.

Sondheim won't sign.

That must be something new... I've heard of people who actually sent him some stuff and got it back autographed...
