Listening to it now... and it´s gorgeous!

As if the John Williams of the 70´s came back!

Agreed
except only partially for the second line -
I think the scope of grandeur is similar to JW in the late 70ties,
but MG still is much more simple in every musical aspect and the entire architecture, the "construction kit" method is still obvious in the flow of his music.

but this is complaining on a very very high level smile

I pre-ordered the CD, preferring to have a disc, but am jealous people are already hearing the whole thing!

Maybe full tracks will wind up on YouTube...I recall the same thing happening with BSG Season 4 razz

How did you all download it? Amazon is telling me it'll be available March 6.

Hmmm not available on Amazon.uk or iTunes, and Amazon in the US hasn't made it available yet. Unless you're part of Amazon's Vine program, in that case it may be available to you early, not 100% sure if that program extends to mp3's.

Funny, this morning it was up at Amazon.de, also at musicload. Usually Amazon.com has it available before .de, this time the other way round

Spotify has the album up too. I'm listening to it now, and it sounds absolutely wonderful.

The German store. So maybe we got it a few days earlier. Don´t worry - most of the time we don´t get anything earlier - and lots of stuff not at all.

Agreed its better than I dared top hope for, I can't wait now to hear it in the movie itself.

The backing on "The Fight For Helium" reminded me a lot Duel of the Fates / Battle of the Heroes.

I was sure that the track "Get Carter" was going to be about the Tharks chasing John Carter as he leaps across Barsoom, but the new 10 minute clip proves me wrong!

The score sounds so majestic!

If you order over $25 on Amazon.com, you can also get free shipping. I have been holding off on this until closer to the release date so I could order 3 CDs and get free shipping.

Sorry, a bit confused here with the limited availability thingy...

Will this score not be available as a regular OST?

Very interesting Mark Kermode interview with John Carter director, Andrew Stanton. Starts at the 0.27:45 mark; (It's after the John Cusack interview)

Mine is "shipping soon" at Amazon with a delivery estimate of tomorrow. So by noon tomorrow I should be listening to this. I have skipped listening to any samples so I can just enjoy the release as a whole and be surprised.
