I'm enjoying a lot of the music so far. I think there is plenty of room for a satisfying score release down the line.

I haven't decided whether the music is really boring or if it's just mixed really low in the episodes, but Bear's work isn't impressing me all that much. Some of the action licks are okay but nothing that we haven't already heard in "Human Target" and the rest is meant to propel the exposition scenes along, with heavy electronics and a steady beat. Not my thing.

The stiff nature of the show probably isn't helping matters. It's content to be a stodgy procedural when the source material opens up so many more possibilities.

I feel like as the show is developing its own mythology it's getting better... especially the last episode in particular was a standout to me.

I do agree that at a lot of times the music is being mixed low. I catch some great stuff but you really have to listen to hear it.

People are still watching this? Really?

How could this show have managed to suck so badly? Its Marvel! Joss Whedon! But it sucks so bad!

I gave up after 2 episodes.

You got to give it a chance like me. I gave up after 4 episodes.

Well I didn't and it's getting quite good.

Bear's scores are great and the show is starting to get it's sea legs.

Agreed on both points!

Read somewhere that although the ratings are not great, it is still the highest rated new drama in four years for ABC (though admittedly, I think the show they are referencing is the reboot of V), and that it is doing decently for its night.

I'm sticking with it, and when Channel 4 eventually brings it back I'll be watching.

So, the show has been picked up for a 2nd season. I'm assuming that Bear McCreary will stay on board.

Also of interest, Marvel's Agent Carter has gotten a season order as well. I wonder if Lennertz, who scored that Agent Carter One-Shot, will be series composer or whether they'll find someone else.

The show has been fantastic since the shake up after Captain America...I enjoyed it before, but since then it has been quite a roller coaster ride. Love Bear's music for the show, and I hope it gets a release!! So glad this has been picked up for a second season.

Really hope they replace Bear. Weakest part of the show and the music actually detracts and takes me out of it. Never before have I been so annoyed by a score. Maybe its the size of the orchestra? It's just too "cutesy" or something. Wish I could articulate why I dislike it so much.

Interesting. I actually find the show lackluster (yes, despite the recent changes, though I guess they help a bit). But I like McCreary's music, though it rarely is given much prominence in the mix.

Lennertz' score to Agent Carter is awesome!

And I love Hayley Atwell in the roll too. Hope the show is good!

Agreed on both counts. I agree the show got slightly less dull since Winter Soldier, but I certainly don't think it's anywhere near excellence.

I don't care what anyone says, this show has not been getting any better. Yeah, there's more action in it now, but the writing is still complete crap. I stopped watching after the 2 part Captain America tie-in. That said, I did enjoy hearing more of Bear's work every week while I was still watching. The main theme took a while to grow on me, but McCreary's finally given it enough interesting variations that I would definitely buy an album if LLL or Sparks & Shadows were to release one.

So will they change the title of the show to "Former Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Could be that Triplett's toys are a hint . . . there's no more SHIELD, but Fury will dub Coulson's team the new Howling Commandos. With a title like that they'll have no excuse not to make the show more exciting!
