The version on Tarantula appears (based on the artwork) to be the Varese reissue of the OST from a few years back. Couldn't hurt to e-mail them and ask, though.

Also, make sure you e-mail Bruce to get on the wait list, as indicated above - maybe you'll get lucky!

Looking forward to receiving this release some time in the next few weeks. Thanks for this release, Kritzerland!

Oh that's great info, thank you! I thought I'd read each post on this thread but obviously I missed the waiting list thing. It's worth a shot, especially since I'm a very loyal Kritzerland fan, screen and stage. Maybe that will be my lucky karma! he he he

Thanks again!

For me, a "big label" is one that brings out more releases that I want to buy.

So, by this definition, Kritzerland is currently my favorite "Big Label."

Shows ta go ya.....

(Besides, how can I give enough praise for the releases of the complete DAVID AND BATHSHEBA, as well as the complete-er RAINS OF RANCHIPUR?????)

Wonderful releases. Favorite BIG label.

One of my favorite early Williams CDs was from BK's Bay Cities label.

Just for the sake of the power of positive thinking, I'll reiterate:

I'd sure love to buy more new Kritzerland releases of old JW scores.

It looks like it is still available at BSX but it really isn't.

If you try to add the CD to your cart you receive this message:

"The MISSOURI BREAKS, THE - Original Soundtrack by John Williams is not currently available. Please contact us for availability of this item."

Well, when I posted it, it was still possible to add a copy to your order. It must have sold out sometime between our two posts.

btw, any clues what might be coming next? wink
It would be nice to get some Jarre for example ;-)

Speaking of Maurice Jarre. Many of us would love to have the score he wrote in the early '80's for the excellent movie RESURRECTION. The movie was made at Universal , but a reliable source has told me that the widow of Maurice Jarre holds the music rights ; not Universal. I know that at the present time Kritzerland has no connection with Universal anyway.

I remember I really liked this score... It's been at least 10 years since I saw the movie, but since it's FOX movie, it should be "accessible"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084938/

...but of course, I'll take anything without a second of hesitation when it comes from Jarre.

Next up is a wonderful title. We should be able to announce it on Monday. A Kritzerland favorite composer and certainly one of the most iconic films ever made.

A magnificent release of a score that I once thought could not be saved. I am going to shout YIPEE.
This will be for me the highlight of 2013. While some other labels may be drifting away from the golden and silver age scores,Kritzerland seems to be right there. This will be my 9th Kritzerland purchase this year.

A Place in the Sun? Wow! Just a few weeks ago you said it could be rescued with the new sound techno advances etc.

How many minutes is it? Ordered for sure! smile

I think it's about fifty-three minutes in all with the bonus tracks - it's quite a bit of music and all of it is just so brilliant.
