How much is missing from Event Horizon? Because I feel the album (which runs 45 minutes) covers the score very well (sure it misses Kamen's version of the Paramount fanfare but still).
Also, Orbital co-scored the film (Kamen did a lot of collaborations near the end of his career, most likely for health reasons) so you couldn't leave their work out.

The CD features half Kamen half Orbital so what you got is around 23 Minutes of Score. In other words: a lot is missing! And curiously most of it is what finally ended up being used in the movie. So an expanded of this one would be more than justified.
The collaboration with Orbital had nothing to do with Kamen's illness. Anderson wanted the movie to be scored entirely by Orbital. The producers felt uncomfortible about that so they brought Kamen on board.
... and The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. It was a Columbia picture where the soundtrack album was released by Warnes Bros., which is now out of print. LLL has a history of working with both Sony, which ownes Columbia, and WB.

The original album was put out by Decca (Universal Music). Lots of great score unreleased in the film. Would love to hear the album stuff unmarred by the mixing in with Orbital and awkward suite arrangements.
MV said awhile back they had a golden age score that might be announced around the end of August. He described it as a masterpiece.Since Lalaland was the first label to open the Paramount vault, perhaps he went after SHANE. If it is SHANE his description of it being a masterpiece is bullseye perfect. One can only hope.
I tried going to the Illustrating The Score Facebook Page to look for a bigger version, but apparently Ozman has deleted his page! Does anybody know if he re-launched it under a different name or why it was deleted?

Oh no, sad to hear that the Illustrating The Score page has gone. I enjoyed his posts and seeing the LLL artwork writ large :/
