I really enjoyed Grusin's music from Heaven Can Wait and Racing With the Moon, but I have to admit that I've been getting a real kick out of the source music from Racing With the Moon as well.

The "joyful saddest" melody ever heard. It has an in-between two moods and fits perfectly these autumnal days.

Just listening to it for the second time.
I understand the frustration of other poster about HEAVEN CAN WAIT. The theme is lovely (well, the love theme too!), but some cues seem to go nowhere... and maybe a non-chronological and a little bit arranged/truncated sequencing would benefit the listening experience. Of course this now can be done by anyway at home but.. well...
The surprise for me is RACING, never heard it before and the main theme is absolutely wonderful, tender, delicate... With ¿saxo? or piano or electric piano a-la Grusin... Here, the jazz/swing cues are in the middle to compensate the flow, but I think we again get "too much of a good thing" as with HEAVEN, tending to be a little bit repetitive with the main theme. But it's very very nice music.
Anyway, CONGRATS for the release and glad this has sold out. It means we can expect more Grusin scores in the future, even obscure ones.

I got it!!!!! But I found that the cue details -- song title, artist, album title, genre -- aren't known by GraceNotes. Hope they'll have it by the time everyone else downloads it!
Further thoughts: "Heaven Can Wait" is essentially a one-hit wonder, with the catchy and bouncy principal theme played again and again. I loved that melody when I saw the movie and love the version of it that Grusin put on his compilation album "Cinemagic." But you probably don't want to keep hearing mostly the same melody again and again. A problem for me are the many times the theme builds to the bridge where it then goes in an exciting direction, but far too many of these cues build to the bridge and then just collapse, leaving me, at least, VERY frustrated and hungering for the second and more satisfying part. After "Heaven Walk," "Walk To Home," "New Walk/Last Goodbye/Last Goodbye extension," "Betty's Entrance/Decision To Farnsworth," "Meeting Of The Board," "At The Drive-In," "Garden Walk," "New Goodbye/Let's Walk" and "Max," they finally give us the second part (after so many frustrating endings!), but it's not until then, with track 9 ("End Theme"), and even then it's less than 3 minutes. In comparison, that theme lasts a little longer (4:35) on Grusin's "Cinemagic," although I need to acknowledge that what I took off the actual DVD, once we get past the dialog, is almost identical in length to the CD's "End Theme," though it seems to me to have more of an urgency than the rather languid version found on this CD. Interestingly, in 2 of the extras, which are at the end of the "Heaven Can Wait" part of the CD and just before the start of "Racing With The Moon," there's "End Theme Alternate," which has an even better transition into the hotter part of the end theme and which I actually prefer over the cue labeled "End Theme."
Frankly, it's hard to believe that this is all Kritzerland could find. I don't want to come across as ungrateful, because I truly am delighted to have this, and it has long been one of my personal holy grails. So I don't mean to criticize those who put in so much time and hard work to give us this treasure. And yet I still find it a bit frustrating. These days I listen to much of my music from my iPod playlists and was able to include the cue from Grusin's "Cinemagic" (twice) as well as the closing scene from the film, rearranging some of the cues (and moving "End Theme" up a bit) and ending my own "Heaven Can Wait" playlist with this (the closing credits music starts at 3:18):

You know I'm just reading this for the first time. What would you have us do, create cues that don't exist? It's "hard to believe" that this is all we could find? Why? The film has fourteen minutes of music in it. Grusin recorded a few things that weren't used and we've included them - there are other takes of the same music, but I'm not into that silly game. The End them you refer to is EXACTLY the same as what's in the film - it has no more urgency than what's on the CD because it's - the same - that is why it is almost the same length - the film comes into the cue a bit later than what Grusin recorded. It's fine to be frustrated, but Mr. Grusin wrote what he wrote and we issued it. You seem to want something that exists only in your imagination, and, for reasons you might imagine, that is not based in reality.

Does anybody know of any classical CDs that have the classical pieces from the film on them with the soprano sax? Would love to supplement to Grusin music with that.

Only now seeing this for the first time. Sorry. I didn't mean to suggest that at all. I realized that it was a very limited soundtrack to begin with (in that there wasn't a wide array of music), so I should have realized that your hands were tied -- you gave us what you could, and for that I am very grateful. Sorry.
