Am currently watching (for the first time) the director's cuts of Lethal Weapon 1-3. As I'm watching the beginning of th first film and looking at the tracklisting of the box set, I guess the box set doesn't feature music in the director's cut? Right now watching a scene at the beginning, chronologically right after "Meeting Martin Riggs/Roger's Daughter" featuring suspense music during a sniper scene that Riggs diffuses prior to the Christmas tree drug bust, an unrelated scene. Maybe the music in the deleted scenes/director's cut scenes was tracked in from other parts of the film? Or perhaps it will remain unreleased music?

MV, I'm absolutely not complaining if this is music that isn't on the box, I was just wondering if you could shed any light on this? 100% curiosity. Thanks a lot! smile

will the first LW ever be released separately?

Wouldn't it ultimately cost less to buy the boxset than all four separately? On the upside, it'll be good for anyone who misses this in the future - on the downside, I don't recall everybody being pleased when Varese Sarabande did that with The Karate Kid...

Let's wait a few years and see.

(That said, I'm sure SOMEONE on eBay will try something like that.)

Priority Mail. To be honest, I didn't sign up for it, so I wonder if LLL is just doing it as a good gesture or if it's just how they gotta send out the Lethal Weapon Box. The Lethal Weapon Box is the only thing I ordered though.

When their Friday The 13th Box was released, did they send it via USPS and it was in the mail box or did some one have to be home to pick it up?

Anyways, what was yours, normal or priority?

Friday The 13th Box was sent via USPS. Once I asked MV directly about registered number (I pay $15 extra) - for Terra Nova & Bodyguard.
LLL also offers priority shipping for ST:TOS box for international orders...
But as for me - I don't worry, 'cause I know that LLL has GREAT service. And also several times I was lucky - our Post-service several times enter that US tracking number in their base, so I could tracking them big grin The only reason why I can worry about current package - it's also contain signed booklet for Superman Returns, so if something happens (I hope nothing! I hope nothing! I hope nothing!) - this will be the only one thing, that can be difficult to replace...

I'm in North Carolina. Could get to you by Saturday, but if so I'm probably a day or two behind you, but with priority mail who knows...I didn't sign up for priority mail with this one either, and like you the LW box is the only item I ordered.

I used to live in IL when I was a kid, in Libertyville.

That's awesome! Do you miss IL ever? And yea, we'll see, I'm hoping to come home from work to a nice surprise tomorrow. I saved up extra just for this box set. I had a gut feeling all year this was gonna be the release.

I've never had priority mail before, so I'm interested to see if it's any faster or if they just take extra good care of it.

Personally, I'm looking forward to Lethal Weapon 3 and 4 the most, how about you guys?

Just got my autographed Superman Returns! Listening now. I love that classic "As Time Goes By" opening. It feels so good to have some new Superman music to finish out the year with. Thanks LLL!

I plan to pick up Superman Returns after the holidays if it's still around. I've never seen the movie, but I love John Ottman's rendition of the Superman theme.

I do miss what I can remember of IL. Particularly the deep, deep snow. Developed a love of snow while living there that stretches to this day. Fondly remember the snow being so deep as a kid I would make little tunnels through the snow to play in! I remember vaguely going into Chicago for White Sox games and eating at a place I think was called "Ed's".

I'm most looking forward to Lethal Weapon 2-4, as those are the ones I'm least familiar with, although I did have the sdtk to part 3 and liked it a lot, especially the action cues and the heartfelt cue that played on the boat when Rog was drunk ("Rog's Boat"?).

USPS has a low-rate Priority domestic shipping deal, if you buy their pre-paid boxes. Price varies according to box size, not weight. They come in various sizes and are available at all post offices. They are printed as "Priority" boxes.
The last time I sent a box-sized package, sending it in the USPS Priority pre-paid box was CHEAPER than sending it as standard mail in packaging of my own. So while at the post office I took the content out of my own packaging, put it in one of their priority boxes, and paid less.

Crikey that's impressive. I have never got anything that fast from LLL, and I'm just down the road in Germany.
