Right on the money. I feel bad for not including it in my big YouTube bomb a few days ago. I would volunteer track 3, "The One Moment," as it's short and so very, very sweet. But track 23, "The Departure," is such a perfect amalgam of what the music builds to and it is more readily available on YouTube as opposed to track 3, sooo...
I'm going to spend a good majority of the day mulling through Bear McCreary's 7-plus hours worth of album material that was given to his Battlestar Galactica music and come back with what I think is the standout moment (well, one of them at least) of pure beauty from within the whole package.
In the meantime, take "Sarah Connor's Theme" from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles in its place. It's one of my favorite themes Bear has written: stoic, memorable, and up until the last 20 seconds it is very serene.
That film was pretty obscure for a long time, i caught up with it last year, DVD from the library, interesting movie and i agree some real nice music as well.

Visually creative especially for its time. I believe it was banned in its native country for some time. The actress was quite enchanting and perfect for the lead.
I also found this song which I believe was inspired by the film and score. Love the song but hate what sounds like reverb. I assume the reverb was intentional and not a glitch as I purchased it from Amazon and its even more evident.
Let's not forget Jerry Goldsmith's PLANET OF THE APES love theme, "A New Mate."
And I also have to mention Krztsztof Komeda's "Sarah Asks Fos A Bath" from THE FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS (or DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES, if you prefer) and one that I'm surprised no one has yet mentioned....
the Maury Laws/Jules Bass song "Never Was a Love Like Mine" from MAD MONSTER PARTY.
Rory, DAMN!, I hate that you beat me to Komeda's The Fearless Vampire Killers -- which is probably my favorite score ever. It's very beautiful, very light, and incredibly memorable. I would suck the blood of everyone here for an expanded (and better sounding) release of that gem.
Yes that pretty ballad from Mad monster Party, that was cute and nice, the other songs in that movie were good too, while we are on the horror comedy kick, how about Dracula is dead and loving it, nice majestic score.

I don't know about sucking anyone's blood, but I really, really wish a FVK CD of the complete score would happen.
Never thought ROBINSON CRUSOE ON MARS on CD would happen, so who knows?
